Hair and Alpha layering issues and other woes

So I was converting a hair that uses Alpha channel, and it turns out it needs Alpha blending to look decent.

 

This is how it should look with the Alpha Blending, but it causes the hair to stop receiving light indoors.

 

 

Also, this happens in some camera positions:

 

 

This is how it looks like if I disable Alpha blending and set the testing threshold to 128:

 

 

It looks like shit this way.

 

Is there any workaround? Is it because of a flag? Did Bethesda fuck up the layering in Skyrim and that's why nothing uses blending and everything using alpha textures looks like shit?

Hair can be weighted to bones! No more clipping and the hair will move slightly if it's attached to the spine.

Actually it's really easy to make the upperparty of the ponytail and lower part of the ponytail move in sync, lol. Just open it in 3dsmax, and weightpaint the lowerpart (which doesn't go along with the upperpart as I've seen in the screeny) to match the weightpainting colors of the upperpart. I could do it and test it if I had the files

 

Edit: Wewps, misread it I guess, lol. I practically just said what you said but with different words, lol.

Anyway recently there has been a mod that lets the onehanded swords also get sheathed on the back instead of the left hip. So I think it's possible some modder will release a skeleton with twintail/ponytail bones soon, if they have a ponytail/twintail fetish then you can expect it to come out faster, lol.
