cgar27 Posted May 11, 2014 Posted May 11, 2014 So anyways... There I was, following this obnoxious talking dog (why, for the life of me, I don't know) when I stumbled upon an abandoned shack in the woods...yeah...abandoned...that's it. I'm certainly no petty thief! Seems that this meager accommodation was abode to an experienced alchemist and wherever he may have re-located I know not, but he left behind a dusty old tome that must have been the result of a lifetime of research and experimentation. Being somewhat of a fledgling potion maker myself, I quickly stashed the book into my pack and went on my way. When I made camp later that evening, I sat close to the glow of the fire to peruse the journal more closely. Within lay invaluable secrets. Truly this old man (and he must have been old, as no young man or woman could have possibly compiled such a trove of information) had unlocked the mysteries of the alchemical arts. My greedy eyes devoured the pages as I began to feel my understanding grow. Every known ingredient in Tamriel was explicitly documented. The effects of each, both malignant and benign, were meticulously described. I sat up until near dawn studying...trying to commit to memory the wealth of knowledge. I barely slept as I anticipated rushing back to my home in Whiterun to begin my own experiments. ...But my tale becomes overly verbose so just let me say that I am fledgling no more. I would share with you, fair reader, some of the pearls of my new found wisdom. First a few beneficial elixirs: Blue Mountain Flowers Monarch Butterfly Wing Giant's Toe -Will restore and fortify health. Garlic Slaughterfish Egg Juniper Berry -Fortifies stamina, regenerates health, and makes one resistant to poisons. Mudcrab Chitin Beehive Husk Hawk Feather -Fortifies light armor and sneaking skills, grants resistance to poisons and cures all diseases. And now, some more sinister concoctions: Silver Perch Skeever Tail Ectoplasm -Damages and Ravages health, damages stamina regeneration. Canis Root Impstool Orange Dartwing -Paralyzes the victim and slowly damages health over time. Cyrodilic Spadetail Giant Lichen Sabrecat Tooth -Ravages health and causes weakness to poison. Cyrodilic Spadetail Giant Lichen Namira's rot -Ravages health and instills fear. Small Antlers Skeever Tail Giant Lichen -Damages and ravages health, causes weakness to poison. I'll leave you with this sample for now. My experimentation is far from complete. ............ Cyndi Posted May 11, 2014 Posted May 11, 2014 I'm always partial to the tri-fecta Skeever Tail Imp Stool Scathecraw [dragonborn] ~ Damage Health, Lingering Damage Health, Ravage Health.
Guest Ragna_Rok Posted May 11, 2014 Posted May 11, 2014 nothing better than a couple of emergency paralyze potions in case your below level 30 on legendary and run into a bandit-chief... also later very handy. impstool + canis root. dragontongue + fly amanita --> fortify 2h, to boost a good ol fashion berserker-rage even further. my personal fav though, if i remember right, is snowberries, dragontongue, purple mountain... resist fire AND frost... its my favorite dragonslayer potion. no matter what those lizzy spit at you, on higher levels you can have both resistances at 97% ... you wont even feel their breath anymore. i love this one in combo with my 2h-fort-potion, so i lettem hit me with breath, rush in and smack the fuck outta them... edit: also works against high level mages... just make sure you got a resist-shock potion with you as well a couple of high level poisons (damage health and lingering dmg) is also a nice addition, especially when you have the "poisoner perk" and can simply givem to... well, guys that have stuff youd like to have edit2: just for looking awesome, level 246 orc, alchemy is on 100, legendary 28 ... and i got everything harvestable in stash with at least 1k units... gotta love alchemy-mods that let you plant stuff you couldnt plant before, like chickens-egg-nests, or hawk nests, or even jarrin root (though... watch out. jarrin root is fucking op, i just collect it, never use it)
cgar27 Posted May 17, 2014 Author Posted May 17, 2014 I'm always partial to the tri-fecta Skeever Tail Imp Stool Scathecraw [dragonborn] ~ Damage Health, Lingering Damage Health, Ravage Health. That one sounds devious. I'll have to try it. I haven't ever seen any scathecraw yet, tho'. Ragna_Rok... try adding some orange dartwing to that canis root/impstool brew. You'll like the results! Here's another: wheat rock warbler egg bear claw -Restores and fortifies health, fortifies 1-Hand skill
