Right I'm an idiot, decided to upgraded SKSE to the newer alpha version, downloaded it and tried to install it when I was tired, stressed and not thinking right. I think I tried the installer from a folder outside of Skyrim. Anyway mucked with it and no luck, game CTDing. I now have Skyrim working again, I reinstalled the earlier version of SKSE and following instructions I overwrote the newer .psc, .psc files with the older and placed the .dll and .exe files where they are supposed I loaded the game via the  SKSE launcher on NMM. The game loads, but SKSE menu options do not appear, but when i open the ingame menu it shows in faint letter bottom left SKSE 1_06_16. It appears SKSE loads but does not activate.

Any help or clues to look at would be appreciated.

Hmm now when I launch the game from NMM "launch skyrim with SKSE" it loads into the save and then freezes a few seconds later.

sigh and Skyrim was working really well for a change.

finally, had to erase everything SKSE and download a new copy of SKSE, I think the copy I downloaded before must have gotten corrupted on opening or downloading. Now it's working. funny it also knocked out SkyUI mod and had to do the same to it to get it to work.

I was going to say manually install SKSE, the installer can be flaky at times. I have never had a issue when I just manually installed it and let it overwrite the old SKSE.

Now to figure why HDT stopped working when I started a new game. To bad Skyrim does not pay real gold, it's damm near a fulltime job keeping it running smoothly.

No the plugins file were there, which was throwing me as the NPC had their Havok item. Found the problem though, it seemed that when my SKSE went funny it deactivated my body mod, once I reinstalled HDT and UNPB, it works fine, it was a very odd screwup, it had deactivated a bunch of mods in the plugin list, just did not realize UNPB was one of them.
