Archivemaster Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 So Im not new to modding having done a lot with Oblivion and some in skyrim. Recently I found time again to get back into Skyrim and was trying to add all the mods that I thought would make it fun. Now for the life of me I have run into an animation/Mesh problem with Dual Sheath Redux. I have everythign else working to my satisfaction save this one mod. The problem is simple. I install all the req's in the order listed and run FNIS and the Patch that comes with Redux. When I get ingame however, I either A) have the second dual weapon stuck like a pointer at my feet while the other wep sheaths on my side. or B)My second weapon dissapears like pre mod and the main sheaths at my side. I have run over the installation guide several times and made sure I have the proper meshes for the Immersive weapons and armors and the other mods that meshes were provided for as well as making sure the skeleton was one that worked with the mod. So in the end im not really sure why its not working so I turn to you all my trusty friends at Loverlab. ShardsOfEldritch Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 And you ran the proccer from DSR? You could also try an XP32 Skeleton that's made for SOS without any other edits. In any case, the way I fixed my issue was reinstalling my skeleton, running the proccer, then started playing again and it was fine. After I started using SOS though, I switched to an XP32 that has better SOS compatibility and re-ran the proccer after that and didn't have an issue with that either.
aqqh Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 I use this one XPMS 1-93a NMM-BAIN INSTALLER and DSR works well enough. You'll get several options during instalation - i used sword/dual daggers on the back.
Archivemaster Posted May 9, 2014 Author Posted May 9, 2014 Attempted using that version of the XPMS skeleton with no luck. Did I perhaps botch something when installing meshes DSR? Did the main mod, then installed the meshes for Immersive armors and weapons, then patched, installed Skeleton, and ran FNIS.
ShardsOfEldritch Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 Usually the weapons dragging on the ground is a skeleton issue. Hm. Have you tried it on a freshly new game or a completely vanilla save? You may want to also try to install DSR after installing FNIS, I wouldn't think that FNIS would be the culprit because I installed FNIS way way after DSR, but there are things way different in my load order and yours. Also make sure that all your weapon/armor packs are loaded before the DSR patch. I think you do though, but it doesn't hurt to make for sure. Also, is that Dual Wield Parrying mod affecting how the weapons are displayed on characters? One mod could be trying to cancel out the other which could lead into similar issues, but I wouldn't THINK that would ever happen. That's a headscratcher.
Archivemaster Posted May 10, 2014 Author Posted May 10, 2014 I have tried various reinstalls but not a vanilla save so I will try that. I did notice odly that while im trying to now get some bounce animations that it works on NPCs but not my char. Same goes for DSR. I can see the daggers on NPCs back but not mine. o_O at this rate im going to have to do the classic install one mod at a time and see what works lol.
Archivemaster Posted May 10, 2014 Author Posted May 10, 2014 Ah I think I pin pointed the problem. It would appear that the custom race im using for some reason does not accept changes to animations. When I try another custom race or a vanilla race everything works great! This is the race I was using http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/23170/? and the BBB and DSR doesnt seem to work for some reason. Anyway to fix that? ok It would seem I need to manuall install a proper skeleton into the Matera files and rename it Skeletonbeast_female. I cant seem to find which one I need to rename and throw in there. I have tried the XPMS one and havnt had any luck. Perhaps im just doing it wrong.
Archivemaster Posted May 10, 2014 Author Posted May 10, 2014 Got DSR working! thanks for all the ideas. In the end I had to take the skeleton.nif from where it installed for the rest of skyrim and rename it skeletonbeast_female.nif and drop it into the custom race folder. At least I think thats what fixed it lol. Now just to fix the torpedo boobs im getting now with BBP.
ShardsOfEldritch Posted May 11, 2014 Posted May 11, 2014 Woo! That's good that you pinpointed to that. I didn't even think about custom races. I'm just glad it was a skeleton issue and not something borked in terms of load order. Figuring that out is a NIGHTMARE.
