windbrand123 Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 Can someone tell me how combat animation files work? I see some under character/animations, and some under character/animations/female, which one is which? I see that XP32 animation pack installs some animations under animations, and some under animations/female. I'm trying to combine XP32 animation pack (using its forward/back/left/right/magic animations) with Pretty Combat Idles (idles only) and it's not working out so great. Either I end up with the idles working but movement not working (t-pose), or movement working but idles are stuck to vanilla.
dobmc Posted May 3, 2014 Posted May 3, 2014 The combat related animations should be located in the animations folder, not under the female folder inside the animation folder. Â Some mods assume that you're using PCEA, so just drag the files from either female/male folder into the default folder. Â As far as I remember the animation files under female/male should be idle, movement (such as walk, run, and spring), and sitting.
dobmc Posted May 4, 2014 Posted May 4, 2014 Annnd, no reply. I really love these kinds of guys. Gives me more incentive to help the community.
Guest Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 Some gender specific animations are in the female folder, the non-combat idle for example because females don't stand the same way that males do ingame. I'm also pretty sure that most of XP32's animations have slightly different versions for male & female (though you probably have to enable the gender specific animations in GenerateFNISforUsers).
