Lovers+Steam OBSE problem.

So I installed Lovers and some plugins, installed and ran Archive invalidation, and BOSS, then afterwards made sure OBSE was running fine. Afterwards I launched the game and made a new character, so far so good right? Well after about ten seconds the message 'You need OBSE to run lovers! You didn't read the instructions did you?' appeared and wouldn't stop coming back.

 

Note I am running the steam version so I HAVE to load OBSE through the steam launcher. Any help fixing this would be appreciated.

you need a special steam version of obse or it will not work right.

 

 

There have been some playing oblivion with steam, not sure if this is the full fix to get it to work correctly, but maybe this can help you on your way.

3) Run obse_loader.exe and everything should now work (you'll get passed through the loader first, just hit play).

 

I've contacted the OBSE guys so we can hopefully get our revisions to obse_loader added into the official OBSE package. Until then if you would like the source for the changes for obse_loader to compile yourself email me at jmccaskey at valvesoftware.com.
