Rammit Innmee Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 Googled my ass off. Hopefully, someone can answer an issue I'm having with the Creation Kit for Skyrim and some modders resources I wish to use. Basically, I have been wanting to consolidate all my favourite resource objects into a single mod as I enjoy decorating my houses using the console in the game. It would be much easier to have one mod available when I need an object's ID. Many of the resource mods I have require you to insert the new object into the Creation Kit. Initially, I had no problem converting Static objects to appear in my mod and game. Things like rugs, curtains or clutter were no problem, thanks to a simple tutorial at the TES Alliance site. My problem started when I tried to add chairs and beds. At first I made the mistake of adding them as new static objects. Noob mistake. Chairs and beds are not static. Although you can see the objects, they won't work if you add them using that method. As a result if you click on them, you get no menu to sit or sleep. Next, I simply added them as a new item to the furniture section. I noticed there were settings for the seating arrangement, so a chair could be approached from the front, left or right etc. When I tested the mod, it's as if it's static. Again, no menu appears to sit or sleep. This was followed with an attempt to copy a chair or bed, in the same way you make a new chest. Either, I got the same results as static or I got a message saying the new item had different proportions and could not be used. With the various options available, from drop down menus and boxes to click or unclick. I could be trying different combinations for a long time until I find the solution. Can somebody please spare the time to share how I'm supposed to make these items work? Thank you.
