Phaded Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 Just wondering if anyone else has this problem, I have Skyrim purchased via steam, But for some reason it wont update, I tried it with the newest sexlab mod and SkyUI but when I start a new game it says I have an outdated Skyrim, Apparently version 1.0. When I try to update via steam it gives me a message that says it cant validate 1 file and will be required but nothing ever happens. I am at a loss on how to update this game, Usually steam does this automatically but its not updating for reasons unknown.
nutluck Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 Sounds like something screw up during install, try uninstalling and reinstalling.
Phaded Posted April 14, 2014 Author Posted April 14, 2014 I have just tried that 30 mins ago, It had no effect sadly .
nutluck Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 In that case try this Right click on Skyrim in your Steam library, click properties, click on local files, and then press the "Verify the integrity of local files".
Phaded Posted April 14, 2014 Author Posted April 14, 2014 I only see Verify integrity of local game cache, I did that before and it came up with the same error of it being unable to validate 1 file and it would reacquire it. I am redoing this now and will see if it changes anything.
nutluck Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 Keep in mind depending on the file it could take a long time for it to remove and then replace the file. It depends a lot on your connection speed. When i say a long time I mean like 30 mins or more depending on your connection speed and what it has to replace.
