Sunja44 Posted April 12, 2014 Posted April 12, 2014 As topic above, I frequently CTD on loading saved games. This effect isn't that new for me, but this time I maybe succeed in loading a save in one of 10 times. The strange thing is, that I have almost a vanilla game, just arrived at Riverwood after the Helgen intro sequence and my so far installed mod list is: GameMode=SkyrimSkyrim.esm=1Update.esm=1Unofficial Skyrim Patch.esp=1Dawnguard.esm=1Unofficial Dawnguard Patch.esp=1HearthFires.esm=1Unofficial Hearthfire Patch.esp=1Dragonborn.esm=1Unofficial Dragonborn Patch.esp=1SGHairPackBase.esm=1SexLab.esm=1ZaZAnimationPack.esm=1Schlongs of Skyrim - Core.esm=1HighResTexturePack01.esp=0HighResTexturePack02.esp=0HighResTexturePack03.esp=0Unofficial High Resolution Patch.esp=0EnhancedCharacterEdit.esp=1CharacterMakingExtender.esp=1NMFWLM_vanilla.esp=1NMFWLM_dawnguard.esp=1NMFWLM_hearthfire.esp=1NMFWLM_dragonborn.esp=1Babette.esp=1Brows.esp=1SGEyebrows.esp=1SGHairPackAIO.esp=1TheEyesOfBeauty.esp=1The Eyes Of Beauty - Elves Edition.esp=1SkyUI.esp=1dD - Realistic Ragdoll Force - Realistic.esp=1FNISspells.esp=1Pinup Poser.esp=1SexLab Enchantress.esp=1SexLabMatchMaker.esp=1SexLabSquirt.esp=1SexLab Submit.esp=1Schlongs of Skyrim.esp=1SOS - VectorPlexus Regular Addon.esp=1Remodeled Armor - Vanilla Replacer.esp=1Remodeled Armor - Vanilla Replacer - Dawnguard.esp=1Remodeled Armor - Underwear.esp=1RogueArmor.esp=1aMidianborn_Skyforge_Weapons.esp=1Bashed Patch, 0.esp=0 The High Rez patches are unchecked. I run the newest stable versions of all SexLab Framework mods (SexLab 139 b, newest FNIS version, XPMS 1.93a etc. etc.) and of course I run the FNIS tool. It does not matter if I save in wearing an TBBP outfit or naked and I am pretty sure that it is no skeleton issue. My body and outfits are by Bodyslide 2 created TBBP meshes and FNIS showed me no issue or warning. So my suspicion is maybe load order, but Wrye Bash shows me all my plugins in nice green colors. SKSE is version 1.06.16 My .ini files are vanilla....
Cyndi Posted April 12, 2014 Posted April 12, 2014 You're probably just getting the pinup poser ctd Very common cause of crash on load for a lot of people. Easiest way to get around it, and still keep the mod, is to use the console from the title screen. enter in: coc qasmoke That will dump you into the testing hall, with a generic character. Now load your game from the testing hall.
Pyrus Posted April 12, 2014 Posted April 12, 2014 Do you have the newest version of JContainers (v0.64) it seemed to be causing crashes on most of my load attempts. using the version of Jcontainers.dll that is packed in radiant prostitution seemed to fix the problem. I had an error relating to Jcontainers in my hdtSkyrimMemPatch.log file if you're using that plugin.
Mord Sif Posted April 12, 2014 Posted April 12, 2014 I get that a lot: a CTD at the exact moment the save finishes loading for me. I've seen others say it's down to a lot of scripts. These days I always keep a really early save at the start of a playthrough, just after all the MCMs have loaded. Instead of selecting Continue I load that early save each time I sit down to play. Never had a problem loading it, and once you're in the game loading your most recent save always seems to work.
Sunja44 Posted April 13, 2014 Author Posted April 13, 2014 I searched for the Jcontainers.dll in my Skyrim folder, it's not there. I don't use AP either. As far as I know there are a few more possibilities for CTDs on loading a save. One reason could be FNIS in combination with loads of anmiation files (as Pinup Poser for example). Fore already improved FNIS performance for CTDs on loading saves in a former (4.x) version, but the issue seems to remain, especially with the s15 version of PP which adds a ton of more animations as the older PP versions. Another reason might be that although you use an almost vanilla game, it's no good idea to overload this clean save by script mods in one action. It might cause issues, because the game itself needs a while to start and intialize the vanilla script flow and the one from the unofficial patches. Adding tons of heavy script mods (and SOS is heavy for example) to a script wise not truly initialized game might cause issues. The second possibility appears even more possible, because I had an old save - where I installed more and more mods, but over time - and I proclaim it a wonder that this old save still worked. The save was almost 30 MB big, my Dovakin was lvl 320 and had solved every single quest in the game and had all skills, skill perks and powers and spells a Dovakin could have in this game. Imagine alone the vanilla script load that comes with such a save...but I had installed the above mods (and even more script mods like Wet and Cold, Footprints, Immersive HUD etc) and the save still worked. I got a CTD on load only in exteriors, never in interiors. I will go the more time consuming way and install script mods one by one over time I guess.
