Changing breast size

I found a pretty great body but it's like 34D in breast size. (At least.) So I wanted to reduce it.

Was thinking it'd be about as easy as making topless armors in Skyrim.

With no instructions what-so-ever...

Open nifskope.

Load femaleupperbody.nif.

Click on body.

Choose breast.L on the menu.

Right click. Transform. Edit.

Scale .5. (auto fills 0's) Reasonable B cup size.

Changes in the render window.

Accept.

Right click. Transform. Apply. (Seems like something I had to do. Both in the render window and on the menu.)

Repeat for breast.R.

Save as femaleupperbody.nif to overwrite the original.

Copy femaleupperbody.nif and paste in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\fallout new vegas\Data\meshes\characters\_male.

Overwrite.

Load game aaannnddd....it's the same as it originally was.

What went wrong? It shows up fine in nifskope but not the game. Even loading it back in nifskope the changes are there. I take it I missed a step or two somewhere?

You scaled the skeletal bone and not the vertices themselves. Soooo... when the default idle, or whatever animation was being used currently, starts playing... it rescales the animation bone back to 1.0. So your change gets erased.

You'll need to Transform - Scale Vertices after selecting the vertices you wish to edit in the render window. For nearly every fallout character mesh I've seen, that means hand selecting the vertices in the render window since the upper body is usually one solid chunk of vertices under one vertex group named T6M or T3Body... you get the idea.

In fact, I'm not even sure if Nifskope lets you select individual vertices. You may be forced to resort to using Blender since I think the tiniest selection available in nifskope of vertices is an entire named vertex group.

It does not. It highlights and changes the entire body.

The newest nif scripts for blender seem to be no longer available so I can't do that either. I found some old ones that only asked me to download and install blender.
