FastestDogInTheDistrict Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 Hey! I need a little help here please guys... Righto - here's the go. I downloaded this armour set from Mods24/7, as I'm sure many of you have. Problem is, unlike many of you who are likely using this and many other ported mods (the "Iron Maiden" armour would be another example with similar installation I guess) with ease & with no issues whatsoever, I cannot get it to work. Here's a quick run-through of what I did (screens included where necessary): Okay - I download the mod, no problem. - I open it, in this case, with the "Nexus Mod Manager". (**please note that I am experiencing the exact same problem via a manual installation of the mod following either the exact path as it is packaged in the download, or by placing the needed mesh/texture folders directly into the "armor" file as is done with most in-game replacement items. In any case, in following a manual route I haven't got a clue what the load order would be...) I check that the pathways are the same as in the packaged mod - yep, identical. I check to see that the .esp is where it should be - Yep. I "activate" the mod, and check to see that its .esp Plugin is ticked & has a "Load Order" number next to it - Yep. Okay, it's number 24 in the load order. From the download's "ReadMe.txt" file: "http://mods247.blogspot.com/ High elf Heavy body xx000981 High elf Heavy boots xx000982 High elf Heavy head xx000984 High elf Heavy gloves xx000983 xx = Mods247HelfH16.esp load order e.g player.additem 02000983 1" Uh... yeh, okay - I guess that seems straightforward enough. So, I would need to type: "player.additem 24000981 1" for the body piece, yeh? Let's try it... ...what the...? O_o And that's where it stops. No matter how I install it, that's the in-game msg I see on the console. I do not know exactly what I am doing wrong, or how to fix it so that it works. Your assistance would be much appreciated!
cyanure Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 I have the same problem than you,I installed Wrye Bash and discovered that the load order was not what I was thinking, the "new" load orderallow me to access it without a problem
FastestDogInTheDistrict Posted January 11, 2012 Author Posted January 11, 2012 Hey Cyanure! Okay - installed WryeBash. Now this is weird - check it out: It's number 24 in the load order on Wryebash too! What could I be doing wrong?
cyanure Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 try 26 not 24,you have 25 files before that one,the number you are reffering is given in Hexa deciaml base(I think),not in position in the load order
FastestDogInTheDistrict Posted January 12, 2012 Author Posted January 12, 2012 Cyanure, you ROCK! Okay - it works now, and thanks to this I now know where & how to look for the load order if I need to re-visit it in the future! MANY THANKS INDEED!!! It works like a full body AND armour replacer, taken on & off like any normal armour set. Very clever!! WOW - the quality and detail of that mod is INSANE. I will DEFINITELY be keeping an eye on Mods24/7.
