I don't know if I can really put this topic here, so sorry if this doesn't really belong to this section of the forum D: but here goes : As the title suggests it, I need some help in order to use some preset files. Indeed, I asked one modder about his character and thanks to him, he gave me these files which are named : _1_commonTriRaces.slot _2_commonTriRaces.slot _20_commonTriRaces.slot He told me that he wasn't sure if these were the right files for me to use the preset. However, He also told me that he used RaceMenu and Chargen Extension but, so far, I haven't been able to find the folder in which I have to put these files in order to use the preset. I tried to post my problem on the comments page of the RaceMenu mod but I haven't had any answers yet (I posted it 3 week ago so ... I'm asking directly to all of you guys) So, if anyone can help, I would really appreciate it
dobmc Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 Ahahaha people are probably laughing at you for that comment on the mod page. It also annoys me why you couldn't have just pasted the file name into the search. Bam, and instant answer. But since this is not the Nexus, I'll say that that file type is unique to a similar character customization mod called Enhanced Character Edit. There should be a file named CME_Slot in the folder with Skyrim.ini, Skyrimprefs.ini. Either that guy is a big fat lier, or something happened between Racemenu and ECE that accomplished the use of CME while using both mods. Quite a number of people here use the Racemenu in combination with ECE and they report that the CME save function is disabled due to conflicts.
Redflyingmonkey Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 If you do have racemenu and chargen, rename the 3 files you've got as "0", "1" and "2", so they're named 0.slot etc. Then make a new folder in Data\SKSE\Plugins and name it "Chargen". Drop the three files inside.In game, type showracemenu and push F9. There should be a slider on top of the racemenu menu with something called "Preset slots", you can choose from 0 to 2 since you only have 3 presets atm. Done.(if you are missing any of the mods the dude Ho gave you those files had, your character face will look like a hemorroid plagued butt. Also, if you don't have Chargen Ext this simply won't work. Also if the dude used ECE to make his character and you don't have ECE, you'll have a blue waffle face. Check it on google if you don't know what it is, preferably before eating. )Ps : Another way is to go in game, to showracemenu in console, to F5 (will save your face preset), exit the game and go to SKSE in your data folder. Your game should have automatically created the correct path for the slots, just rename and drop your 3 preset files in the newly created folder, and go press F9 to load one of them in game.
