Sweatington Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 Lichdom: Battle Mage. http://store.steampowered.com/app/261760/ Quick inital first impressions after 45 minutes with the game: Really great looking visuals, everything from the world, the spell effects, to the mobs, look top notch imo. There is spell crafting, where you can craft your own spells by gaining glyphs? i think. From the mobs you kill, apperantly the game has over 1000 spell combinations. Only thing that bugged me a little was the quick sprint speed, seemed a little OP. Would like to see it tuned down a bit to make parrying more viable, since that was kind of tricky to get right sometimes. Espacily if you use ice to slow the mobs down and you've gotten used to parrying the normal attack speed. Overall I think this game might have big potential. It's still early access, so stuff like voiced dialog and some animations for quest NPC's arn't in yet. For comparison, first thing that came to mind was Dark Messaiah of Might & Magic. Just without the melee combat and way better magic combat. However, this qoute from one of the developers really sold it to me ;p " Yes we will support modding. I don't know how good our tools will be on release (probably not very), but we will be handing what we do have over to folks that want to start poking around and doing cool stuff. " I'm sorta excited
