Exterior lighting and time of day seems off

I seem to have way too much sunlight considering what time of day it is in game, should it even be this bright when its 8:00 PM in the game? It just seems like it should be getting dark faster than it does, if this is a bug I want to know how to fix it, if not point me to a mod where night starts sooner than it does normally.
