Batman Arkham Knight

So Rocksteady has officially announced the next and last game to their Batman Arkham series.  It's called Batman Arkham Knight.  Check out the debut trailer here.  I've always loved the Arkham games and think as far as comic book hero games they're are the best.  The voice acting,  gameplay and story have always been top notch and I've never seen better use of the Unreal Engine in any game.

While the video is all CG here's a ton of ingame screens taken from Game Informer.

Whooooo hoooooo finally get to cruise around in the batmobile! Also when new videos,  screens etc pop up I'll go ahead and update this post.

Yeah I'm kinda sad though because it looks like the Wii U isn't getting any love this time around.  The Wii U version of City was badass with the controller integration.  I just hope my PC can handle this bad boy and it's a better port than City was on PC.  City is still pretty much a stutter fest on PC no matter the tweaks or settings.

About Knight though I'm glad to see Kevin Conroy back.  Origins was good and I know they were trying to use someone younger story wise,  but meh no one does it better than Kevin!

Woah, niiiiiiiiiiiiiiceeeeeeeeeee....

Arkham Asylum was such a surprisingly good game (I bought it on a whim not expecting much...I was proven so wrong!) and Arkham City was also good.

Didn't play Origins yet though, maybe when its cheap on Steam I'll have a go...

But so good to see a true sequel to Arkham City. Though I kinda expected it. The series was still too good to abandon to another team than rocksteady games...and the "hidden hints" by the mysterious watcher about terrible things to come in the near future...and I still want to get my hands on Hush since he escaped...

Yeah, I am excited...but hopefully its not only NextGen Consoles but PC as well. And damn, I would love to see more of Ivy again, her char was truly the hottest thing in games for a long time...nymphomaniac supervillain redheads in skimpy cloths just rule!

And now all we Batman-Fans need is a movie that is more like Arkham City, and much, much less than Nolan's overrated movies (about a guy in ridicoulus outfit fighting against terrorists in chicago while trying to cure his throat-problem...strange it is considered to be a Batman trilogy, never figured out why...short rant over! :D )

Funny you say that about the trilogy.  After each movie was over I was left having no clue if there was going to be another one or not.  I kinda liked the grounded in reality of the flicks for a more personal approach,  but it was a little too grounded.  Snyder did a pretty awesome job with Man of Steel even though it lacked some major character development.  I'm excited to see what he does with the sequel including Batman.  Maybe he'll do a Batman movie or trilogy himself.  His art style and direction for his films definitely fit the Batman universe.  If that makes any sense.

Anyway about the new game I'm hoping that the Joker has a little part in it because Rocksteady said this will be the last one in the trilogy.  Having Mark Hamill back just for a few lines would be a perfect send off.  Even if it was a flash back or a nightmare...just something would be nice.  Doesn't matter if they re use old lines from the first two games either.

For whoever is interested: Steam has a deal on the Batman games this weekend: 75% off

Asylum 6 €, City 8 €, Origins 10 €

I probably will get myself Origins (the weakest of the trilogy so far), for that price I don't think I can go much wrong...and if you don't have any of the games take a look, they are probably some of the best Superhero-Games available...and lightyears ahead of the Nolan-movies as far as action, characters, story and atmosphere is concerned!
