Weird Lighting Problem

Hi there

 

The good news is I finally was able to recover an old mod of mine: an underground city.

I integrated the city in my current dungeon and everything seems to work fine.

Except for the lighting...

For some reason, my City looks like that:

My games brightness is at medium.
If i turn up the brightness to max it looks like this:

If I turn down the brightness to min it looks like this:

Instead of this insanely bright...whatever you call that..it should be dark...
A bite like that, maybe even a bit darker (These are old screenshots from the mod I took months ago when I first worked on it):

A few notes:
 
- Other interiors work fine.
 
- If I delete ALL the lights in the whole cell, everything looks exactly as bright as in the pictures shown...
There is no difference if I have any light in the cell or not...
 
- I wrapped the whole cell more or less in black planes... so no light should get inside. no difference either...
 
  - I merged the old mod with my new dungeon using TES5Edit. everything seems to work but the lighting. The problem also exists in the old, non-merged file.
 
- this problem only appears in the old cells of my old mod
 
 
I was so happy when I finally was able to recover my old mod...I hope someone can help with that so I can finish it smile.gif

I know absolutely nothing about creating something of this magnitude but my first thoughts would be for Skyrim updated patches, Official and Unofficial. When exactly did you create the mod? And if you say you "recovered" it, did something crash like your system? Were these restored files that were deleted? Could they be corrupt? 

 

Are you running any lighting effect mods or ENB? I'm just thinking of some ideas to help you. 

 

I'd like to see this mod in completed working form. From what it looks like, the city you created looks very nice in its working form. I'm sure someone here will be able to lend you a hand regarding interior cell lighting. 

 

I hope you get it worked out.

I rather "recovered" it from my chaotic appartment. It was stored on an external hard drive and should be perfectly fine. Maybe apart from the fact that I experimented a bit with the mod when I worked on it:

I included a custom race. The inhabitants of the underground city were supposed to be from the kaleen race. After difficulties I dropped that plan.

Just recently I tried to eliminate this unwanted baggage. After many tries, mostly resulting in a crash of the CK, I finally got it working again.

I also included some custom buildings and construction, whi I intend to keep because they look awesome.

 

But this all should not affect the lighting as it does...?!

Thats the only problem I have now with the mod. And it is ONLY affecting the old cells.

 

I am using an enb, and it works perfectly fine in all other cells.

 

I uploaded some previews on the nexus at the end of may 2013. So I created the mod in the weeks before that.

I figured it out, yay  :D  :D  :D

I had a totally different problem with a mod once, and now I tried the same trick:

Grab everything in that cell, copy it and paste it in a new cell.

Et voila, the problem was gone^^
