nutluck Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 I have not updated BOSS in awhile, but I have never had a issue with BOSS and so far it has solved every load order issue I have ever had. It is not perfect I know sometimes it misses things but it seems pretty effective. No clue if there is issues with the latest version or not. Â Edit: I just checked and I am using version 2.1.1 which is the latest version. I just checked their web site. All I can say is I am using the latest version and so far have not had any issues with it. Â If you want to give it a try you can DL it from here. Â http://boss-developers.github.io/

nutluck Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 If you are seeing black textures then that means something wasn't installed correctly. Â I know when I first started modding skyrim I totally messed everything up myself. You have to be very careful on how you install stuff and make sure you do it exactly right. Â Do you have papyrus activated in your ini file? If so can you copy and paste a copy of your log. It might have clues as to what is causing your crash.

nutluck Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 Copy these in your skyrim.ini in Documents > My Games > Skyrim >[skyrim.ini]: [Papyrus]bEnableLogging=1bEnableTrace=1bLoadDebugInformation=1 Â Then load up your game launch it and after it crashes it will make a papyrus.log.0 file in your same skyrim folder as the ini file you changed. It will be in the logs folder. Open it up and copy it, paste it into word so it turns it from a wall of text to lines, then copy it again and come back here and paste it here in spoiler tags. Â Â
doomcat9 Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 i know what your problem is, i've had it before. you have a mod active that needs another mod active, but its not specified so boss cant tell. this happened to me with a  custom character mod. turned out that the custom character i was trying to use needs a way way older version of a mod that no longer is available online. what i'd do if i were you is to figure out which mod is causing this by turning mods off one by one. dont turn them back on right away. least for the first half keep turning mods off one by one. when you manage to load up  a save successfully make sure you remember what mod you last turned off. you can turn the rest back on and see if its still ok.  after that is when you go to that mods site and look at its requirements and see what you are missing :3

shadowdancer Posted February 18, 2014 Author Posted February 18, 2014 So, after some reasearch i manage to find the problem - the few followers i created used the body meshes and textures from the mod i didnt activate by mistake and + in mod list there was esp file activated but other stuff for this mod i deleted earlier and forgot to delete esp too. Thx for help guys.
