American Truck Simulator 2b Voicenav NSFW

Posted (edited)

So i found this 2b co-driver mod from a while back, and it was never ported to support newer trucks like the 2025 Volvo VNL. I put enough work figuring out what the problem was (depreciated effects in automat) that I decided to make her a voice nav also... only to discover that the tutorials for making a normal ogg based voice nav mod doesn't work anymore and I had to learn to make a fmod sound bank to get it working. I shifted the audio balance somewhat to the right to make her sound like a passenger more than a gps, and tried to include enough variety to make it sound mostly natural. Enjoy!

DISCLAIMER: Some of the voice lines are VERY NSFW as they're based upon some jokes friends and I made on stream about the model, so theres some sex and futa references.
AI Content disclaimer: I used a web based TTS for the voice generation, it was likely AI based.

link to referenced 2b co-driver. its not my mod so im not super comfortable posting a patched version. might make a patch-mod later on to fix her: https://www.modsats.com/animated-codriver-2b-v1-0/

For shits and giggles I dug into the model and looking at the textures she is unusually detailed at skin level. I went into blender to try and remove the shirt and see if the texture looked less silly on the model and cant successfully export it between the mod its self importing weird into blender and configuration hell with the scs tools add-on and scs hub.

I haven't had much chance to actually play using this mod much yet, as I burned myself out fixing stuff over the last few days, but it loads into game and seems to work fine, the only error is a warning related to an obsolete attribute in the .sii file which was created using the scs wiki's own danged directions. "00:00:34.199 : <WARNING> Ignoring obsolete attribute 'pack_dir' of unit '.english.2b.pack' (of type 'voice_navigation_config')." which I haven't gotten around to fiddling with yet. I can PROBABLY just delete the reference though. Once I have had some more time driving with the pack I will likely think of new things to add, and if anyone has any suggestions or requests feel free to leave them, and I might integrate them into a later update.

This is my first time posting anything of the sort, and my first time posting here, so if I have made some sort of social mistake or modding mistake, I apologize and feel free to let me know.

IT OCCURS TO ME INSTRUCTIONS MIGHT HELP:

If you have never used ATS mods before, in your user documents folder there is usually an American Truck Simulator folder. Inside that you should find a "mod" folder (lowercase) and the .scs file inside this goes there, where you activate it from the mod manager. The location in the mod load list shouldn't really matter.
