A straightforward mod which disables the MCM button when any restraints whatsoever are equipped.

• Implement a MCM config to allow disabling only when certain restraint categories are worn.

I used Codex to make this mod, mainly because I didn't want to manually disable MCM for Devious Devices / other mods.

(Do I have to check AI content if the code is AI, or only for textures and other assets...?)

I do know how to code though, I do software engineering for a living - so I've reviewed the implementation.

No, the mod just disables the MCM when you have devices equipped. Need to add furniture support too.

Devious Restrictions centralizes gameplay restrictions such as anti-cheat and feature blocking for an "authentic" gameplay experience.

(Disclosure: The code for this mod was mostly generated by AI, but I do program for a living so I'm not completely vibe-coding this.)

 

Many thanks to the mods (many from LE) which inspired this:  

• Devious Framework () for 
• Devious Anticheat () for the console blocking idea
• All the other Devious Devices mods which add features like blocking fast travel, using the map, waiting, etc.

 

Current Features:

• [Anticheat - Block MCM] Disables (greys out) the MCM button entirely, this WILL lock you out of this mod's MCM as well until you manage to escape.
  • Currently working on possibly locking the user out of every other MCM other than itself (or maybe itself as well), plus a hardcore "MCM lock" for this mod.
• [Anticheat - Block Console] Disable using the console whatsoever by intercepting the backtick (`) hotkey, more granular anti-cheat hasn't been implemented yet.
• [Conveniences - Block Waiting] Disables passing time using the wait menu by preventing the menu from being opened - this doesn't affect sleeping.
• [Conveniences - Block Sleeping] Disables sleeping to pass the time and recover stamina/etc., note this can play badly with certain survival mods and quests.
• [Travel - Block Map] Blocks the player from opening the map to navigate, set waymarks, or fast travel through the map.
• [Travel - Block Fast Travel] Blocks the fast travel menu, note that this is separate from carriage fast travel blocking.
• [Travel - Block Other Travel] Blocks the usage of boats and carriages, if this is enabled you also won't be able to fast travel the normal way.
• [WIP / Gameplay - Block Spells] Blocks the usage of spells and opening the spell menu, this might take longer to implement...

 

All features are disabled by default and can be enabled for specific Devious requirements, please send suggestions on more restriction categories I can add!

Restriction categories for enabling features include: fully disabled / heavy bondage only / arms cuffed / any Devious Device equipped.
