At first, some users said it was an issue because it appeared in Korean. But as a Korean speaker, I don't see any text at all. Please fix this.

Thanks for letting me know, and sorry about that!

 

The cause: the public package had no Korean string table, so when the game is set to Korean, all the text comes up

blank. I've attached a Korean language package. Put CMU02_Vernier_KR.package in the same Mods folder as the other

Vernier files and restart the game. The menus should then show in Korean.CMU02_Vernier_KR.package

 

If anything still looks wrong, let me know!

So I figured out the unlock command, you need to have a comma at the end of the last string that you are putting it behind.

 

As a an example.

 

"Unit": "inch", "unlock": true

 

Not the command I put mine after and I retyped this on mobile, but sharing to help others.

Thanks for the new public version, 1.2.1. Great new features, working as expected on adult sims.

 

Previous versions must have had teens enabled by default because they had the vernier menu and memories. or there was no lock on teens. Might have been good to mention in update notes that teens are now locked.

 

Unlocking in json is very clunky and not user friendly. I did`nt have a json file so generated one by altering a global setting (romance bonus) then added unlock in json in this format

which failed to unlock, no vernier menu on teens.

 

Tried again with this format

which worked, teen memories and preferences restored and intact from previous version. Would be better to have teen unlock switch in vernier settings UI if possible.

 

I had the game lock up when pressing back button on a teen sims memories, this was after checking 4 other sims histories. Might be coincidence or checking through too many histories to quickly might be an issue. My game does`nt normally lock up and runs lag free despite being heavily modded.

Hi! Good news: there's now a button for it, so you don't need to edit any file.

 

1. Update to v1.2.1.2. Please delete the previous Vernier files first.
2. Click your own adult Sim and open the Vernier settings.
3. Select [Global] Include Teens to turn it On.

 

That's it. It applies right away, and teen Sims will then get Vernier too. Let me know if anything doesn't work!

Thank you so much for the detailed feedback, it really helps!

Teen lock: You're right. Earlier versions had no age limit, and I should have mentioned the new teen lock in the update notes. Sorry about that.

 

JSON: Your first attempt didn't work because of a missing comma after 10.0. When the JSON has even one small error, the game ignores the whole file. But you won't need it anymore: following your suggestion, v1.2.1.2 adds a switch in the settings UI. Click your own adult Sim, open the Vernier settings, and select [Global] Include Teens. It applies right away, with no restart needed.

 

Freeze on the back button: Thanks for reporting this, I'll look into it. If it happens again, could you send me these two files from your Mods folder or game folder?
- CMU02_Vernier.log (in the Mods folder)
- any lastException file from right after the freeze (in the Sims 4 folder)

 

It would also help to know roughly how many memories those teen Sims had.

Thank you both for the kind words and the suggestion!

 

Right now Vernier is built around one setup: female Sims reacting to male Sims, and that's where the reactions, memories, and preferences live. Letting male Sims take that "reacting" side toward other male Sims means reworking how the mod decides each Sim's role. I'm planning that rework already, because of another request (female Sims with a penis), so I've added male-male to the list for it.

 

I can't promise a date yet, but I'll keep you posted when there's news!
