Does anyone know how to add a custom race to Family Planning?

As the title says, I've recently been playing with Family Planning and Wasteland Eggspansion. I'm not sure how to add support for custom races so that these mods can work properly with them.

I'd really appreciate it if someone could explain how to add custom race support or point me in the right direction. Thank you!
