AI tools for creating stylized cartoon characters — what are you using?

I've been experimenting with AI image tools for creating original stylized and cartoon characters, and I'm curious what other people here are using.

 

There are quite a few interesting workflows now - from generating a character from scratch to taking an existing design and experimenting with different outfits, poses, styles, and variations.

 

For me, the most interesting part is keeping the character recognizable while changing the visual style. Cartoon/anime characters seem particularly fun to experiment with because you can get very different results from the same basic concept.

 

What tools or workflows are you guys using for this?

 

I'm especially interested in:

• creating consistent characters across multiple images;

• turning an idea/sketch into a finished character;

• experimenting with different cartoon and anime styles;

• generating variations without completely changing the character's identity.

 

Would be interested to see what other people have discovered.

I've been experimenting with browser-based AI tools for this too. I find image-to-image particularly useful when you want to keep the basic character recognizable while changing outfits, poses or the overall style.

I'm still trying to figure out the best approach for consistent characters across multiple edits though. Would be interesting to hear what workflows others are using for that.

Thanks for the recommendation! Funny enough, I recently talked with the people behind AI Deep Nude and ended up trying it out myself. It seems pretty similar to what you're describing, especially for playing around with character variations and different styles.

My experience with it was actually pretty good, so if you're still experimenting with browser-based tools, might be worth giving it a look. Would be interested to hear what you think if you try it.
