sicknumm Posted September 14 Posted September 14 So ive messed around with Passion and Kw a few times but never was able to have the experience i feel like i should after looking at screenshots on these forums. I have been having trouble knowing what to downlaod where to find the correct downloads. Can anybody point me in the right directions or maybe take a look at my mods folder to tell me if im doing this correctly?

That's probably why you're having trouble.
FreakyRufus Posted September 19 Posted September 19 The Overrides folder is only needed if you have a mod that overrides a part of another mod. For example, you may have a mod that adds an action to sims, and also has a new object that the action allows them to interact with, like a gate with a glory hole in it, and the code that lets sims use the glory hole. You may find another package that changes the way the gate looks, but relies on the code that implements the interactions. That would be an override. Check the contents of the "Resource.cfg" file that is in your Mods folder. That controls how package files are found within your mods folder. It defines what folders to include in the search for packages, and the priority that is given to the packages that conflict with each other. A package with a higher priority will be used if it conflicts with a package that has a lower priority. For example, my "Resource.cfg" file includes the following: Priority 500 PackedFile "Packages/*.package" PackedFile "Packages/*/*.package" PackedFile "Packages/*/*/*.package" PackedFile "Packages/*/*/*/*.package" PackedFile "Packages/*/*/*/*/*.package" Priority 1000 PackedFile "Overrides/*.package" PackedFile "Overrides/*/*.package" PackedFile "Overrides/*/*/*.package" PackedFile "Overrides/*/*/*/*.package" PackedFile "Overrides/*/*/*/*/*.package" Mine is actually a bit more complicated than this, this is just to show what the default one should look like. Using this config, package files MUST be in either the Packages folder or the Overrides folder. If stuff in Overrides conflicts with stuff in Packages, then the version in Overrides will be used. Additionally, only up to four folders deep will be searched. If you put a package in "Mods/Packages/a/b/c/d/e/mod.package", then it would not be found, because the search will be stopped after looking in "d". Also, have something like "Mods/mod1.package" would not be found. If you really want to have deeper folders, just add another line to the "Resource.cfg" file with `PackedFile "Packages/*/*/*/*/*/*.package"`, for example. That line MUST be between "Priority 500" and "Priority 1000", for regular, non-override mods. I don't think it would hurt to have really deep folder structures, but it might make your game start up a little slower.
Aouregan Posted October 4 Posted October 4 (edited) I can and probably will upload you a copy of my mods folder these days, just so you can get a proper experience and see what works and what not. Be warned: It is around a 1000 or more mods so game start will become a slugfest. It is definitely worth it though. Framework is Kinky World (KinkyKatie's version) and there are all required body mods and also skin mods included. I use the Primer skin, but not as a default. I apply it when necessary, as default turns out too pale and requires afterwork anyway. But it will be ready to play, which is the most important. EDIT: Due to legal concerns I will have to send you the download link for the packed mods folder in a DM, once I am done uploading it. Edited October 4 by Aouregan
