Way to allow bot to edit its own character profile?

I think it would be super cool if a bot had the ability to change its own character profile, something you can start out with as a basic character, then actually through talking with it and roleplaying with it, expand it into a more fully detailed character!

because of the way sillytavern works though, this would make it re-read the character profile every message, instead of simply using the cache for a faster reply, but I think it would be a neat concept!

cause I notice with my bots, even though I describe to them that they are bots and can just, do stuff, they're still pretty bad at it. so I imagine, if I could allow it to edit its own profile from time to time automatically, then it would more naturally change the "reality" of the character, for example, if a character changes out of their default outfit, that only stays until it's mentioned infrequently enough to be forgotten by the context limit, however if the bot edited their actual profile to have those become their new clothes, they would have them on all the time until some other outfit overrode it.

writing this all now, I'm immediately noticing that the bot could just hallucinate up an entirely new character, so maybe only being able to choose a few boxes (character note, personality, scenario?) would be fine enough to change, the actual meat n' potatoes of the bot in the description and character prompt would still be there to keep something grounded at least, but true character personality development and long-lasting visual changes aren't super possible without you manually editing their notes/profile, or them CONSTANTLY talking about it to the point it just becomes a filler word.

this kind of ties into the other questions I've asked here, I really just want to find out more ways to give my bot the red pill and wake it up to the fact it's in the matrix, so-to-speak. nothing like internet access or overwriting files any other than specifically the character profile, cause that's just a security risk to put a hallucination engine in charge of your files, but it would be fun to see it in charge of itself.

If the SillyTavern bots had the ability to automatically re-summarize things in their own context memory and add the info to the currently used world lore book, it would make for an amazing RP experience.

I looked in the addon section and saw some stuff that looked kind of close almost?

like something called "memorybooks" that said it could allow a bot to summarize a chat and compartmentalize it into lorebooks, however, I don't think it's autonomous at all, but it is supposed to do pretty much what you're talking about with the lorebook stuff, just press a button and it'll summarize your whole chat up until that point into a lorebook, never used it myself, but it's worth looking into for you I'm sure.
