MajorWard Posted Sunday at 04:09 PM Posted Sunday at 04:09 PM One thing Fallout 4 has over Skyrim is the simple, easy menu system it has to give and equip specific clothing, armour and weapons on NPCs. Skyrim's default armour and weapons, plus the system where they only equip the most "superior" apparel / weapons. Is there a mod that implements a system like this into Skyrim? I am not sure as it's clear Skyrim and F4's inventory systems are clearly built different and so one might not be possible in the other? I've tried a few with mixed results: NPC Clothes Changer and Maintainer SSE - https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/50066 This allows the default garb to be removed and the new apparel to be "locked", which is fine until you start a sex animation as it fights the undress / unequip scrips. Leave it unlocked and NPCs have annoying habit of duplicating and re-equipping at least some of their previous gear. I think if you remove their default gear, equip them with new then release them from the mods control so their gear is handled "normally" then it behaves but I am not 100% sure. Using this also seems to result in housecarls, and more, displaying their default weapon even when it's been removed and sometimes along with the new weapons you gave them. The weapon doesn't appear in their inventory and doesn't seem to register in the console so not sure how to fix that. Nether's Follower Framework - Quite a comprehensive mod that includes the ability to set what outfits your followers wear and when (home, town & normal) and they usually change into this when they move between cells. It's not flawless but it's not bad and there's a "redress" hotkey to force the correct outfit. However this only works for followers (still works after they've been dismissed) but not every NPC. My wish is that there's a mod that implements a Fallout 4 NPC equipment trade and equip mechanic but, as I said, I dunno if it's even possible?
