A quick note: This is my first mod, so please bear with me. I’m still very new to modding and learning as I go, so there will probably be some mistakes, rough edges, or things I’ve overlooked. Feedback and bug reports are very welcome, especially if you can explain what went wrong and how to reproduce it.

 

More Than Small Talk is a conversation expansion for X-Change Life that makes the bar girls feel more distinct, less repetitive, and more responsive to the player.

The mod adds 30 new personality-driven conversation questions to Chat → Ask about her. When the mod activates, you are given two random eligible questions to choose from. Each answered question then gives you three different responses, and the girl reacts based on her personality rather than using a universal “good / neutral / bad” system.

The mod currently supports all seven main bar-girl personality types:

 

• Bimbo
• Feminine
• Nerdy
• Sporty
• Rich
• Bitch
• Slut

 

The mod does not completely replace the vanilla interaction. Each time you use Ask about her, there is a 30% chance that More Than Small Talk will trigger. The remaining 70% uses the normal vanilla X-Change Life conversation instead.

 

Your responses can affect Attraction, Friendship, or Respect, and some of the more intimate questions can also influence the game’s native Dominant/Submissive relationship value.

The 30 questions are split into progression tiers. Questions 1–20 cover general and casual topics such as hobbies, relationships, music, movies, money, jealousy, attraction, and personality. Questions 21–26 are more intimate and only become available once the current NPC reaches Attraction 5+. Questions 27–30 are deeper post-sex conversations and only appear after you have slept with that specific NPC.

 

Refusals also depend on the tier. Q1–20 have a 10% refusal chance, while Q21–26 have a 30% refusal chance with personality-specific refusal dialogue. Once the post-sex questions unlock, Q27–30 are always answered.

 

The mod also keeps its own per-NPC conversation history, so successfully completed questions are remembered and do not constantly repeat. Unchosen questions stay available for later, and refused questions are not permanently consumed.

 

Importantly, More Than Small Talk does not replace Discuss mutual interests or the game’s existing relationship systems. It is designed to sit alongside the vanilla content and reuse native Attraction, Friendship, Respect, Dom/Sub, relationship notifications, and sex-history mechanics.

This mod is also mainly meant to add more flavor and personality to the bar-girl conversations. The goal isn’t to completely overhaul the relationship system, but to make talking to the girls feel less repetitive, more personal, and more reflective of their individual personalities.
