Which Modloader/method do you use to install mods?

So I wanted to download some mods, but manually installing and uninstalling everything is a hassle, and Vortex won't work. Any suggestions? Preferably something that allows me to go back to playing vanilla easily.

It depends on what mods you are running.

The simple model replacer paks worked fine for me on MO2, as long as I used the custom path option to put them in the right spot.

A couple of other mods also worked, but in the end I went back to manual install, since the mods that changed ingame menues tend to not work, so things like Minimaps, Palbox Search Plus or anything that requires UniPalUI or Mmod Config Menu.

What I do is I have folder where I download all of my mods to. I then add shortcuts to every game folder where the mods need to get installed to. As long as I remember that mods that state needing to be installed to the paks folder should instead be installed to the ~mods folder, I can easily move folder to folder and delete everything to restore to vanilla (except ue4ss, but that doesn't do anything with empty mod folders anyways). Generally mod loaders prefer to guess where a mod is installed to instead of letting the mod devs decide that so unreal games like palworld which have multiple folders to install to tend to not be compatible with mod loaders.

I'm using Mod Organizer 2. It's kind of a halfway point between manually installing and using a good mod manager. It's excellent for being able to keep track of and simply install or uninstall mods, but I still end up having to manually reconfigure the file trees for most mods after I download them, it's a bit of a pain to set up the first time and you have to guess how to fix your own issues as they crop up because it's not popular with the Palworld community so there's not much documentation, and you have to be especially careful to make sure each file actually got installed if the completely useless FOMOD installer triggers. I've tried Vortex and hated it. Manual is hard to keep track of, tedious to disable, and you can't easily add notes to the mod such as the link to where you downloaded it. Steam is probably easies but it doesn't have a bunch of mods. I tried palmodmanager yesterday because it's supposedly able to check for conflicts that MO2 can't detect, but it was an utter disaster. I couldn't get mods with a complicated file structure like Sugar Cake to install properly.

MO2 is a bit of a pain to setup

Do not use steam to install palworld mods. All of them are reuploads from nexus without permission of the original mod authors and I've been hearing reports of viruses being included with them.
