Why can't I invite the director and the female co-star?

Yeah, can confirm I also have the bug where the mod is causing sims that are part of sex with my played sim change into random outfits when the sex ends, both in and out of the porn shoot. Strangely enough, it doesn't affect NPC sims that have autonomous sex or directed sex. Also can confirm that all of the notifications are in Spanish lol. I'm fortunate enough to know enough that it isn't too big of a problem for me, but it would definitely be frustrating for most. A good thing to keep in mind for anyone who stumbles across a mod with missing translations though is to use the Google Translate app on your phone. It has a camera function that can automatically translate text and even automatically detect the language if you are unsure what it is.

In  my case they weren't in the the porn career. Just regular ol' autonomous sex. I did have however one sims that was seemingly unaffected by the randomize outfit for some reason I just dont know why

Looks like most of the issues I had before have been fixed, but I have a different problem now.  I got the audition and went to it without issue.  Came back and was notified I had a gig for later that day and had some stuff  to do before the gig.  I did them all and when the time came for the gig, I never received the notification window so I could travel there.   It's been several sims days and nothing.  That part seems to be working for others so I must have a mod that isn't playing nicely with yours.   I'll see if I can figure out which one it is.

I've always wanted to see a porn star career that uses the acting job system.

The idea has potential, but I'll wait to see where this goes.

That being said, it would be cool if it worked with the old porn star career ideas like the porn awards that replaced the Starlight accolades.

Might even go well in the future with interactions with Cinerotique, if Peco was up to it.

Update on my experience with the mod after some issues.  For reasons not associated with this mod I pulled all my mods out, ran a game repair and them back in.  Decided to give this a shot again and so far it's been working just fine.  The only feature I haven't tried is the invite the director and co-star.  Will try that the next time.

 

a few things I have noticed: 

The scenes seem to end abruptly and don't last very long.   Not sure if this is intentional or not. 

 

I am getting notices in Spanish popping up on occasion.  My Spanish isn't the best, but I have made out bit of them.  Maybe convert all to English if possible of provide strings so a translation could be done?

 

I haven't maxed out the career yet, but so far so good.  If I come across anything else I will report back.

I’ve been playing with this mod for a few days now. One thing I’ve noticed is that the film sets don’t change. The studio is just the standard Sims film studio, but the sets are actually supposed to change regularly. Maybe you could take another look at that? I don’t know, but perhaps it’s possible to choose a set? Anyway, I really like the mod. Hats off to you!

the first time you dont, its an audition where the sim goes alone then you should get another chance that same day

every sim on the lot is still female, that makes this impossible to use with a female sim, as it stands you can only use this mod if you play with a male sim only, there needs to be male actors also.

I haven't tried this mod yet, but I have never been able to summon the director and co-star using that button even for normal Get Famous gigs. Think that is an EA issue or a mod conflict. Most likely EA.

Tried it but the info tells me my sim needs to work/go at a certain time (9 am) but when the time comes, nothing happens.
Any idea?

just a suggestion (not sure if this is on the game already and i just didnt see it) but there should be an option to choose preferences for who your co-star will be, if you're open for women, men, both, etc

I played the latest version on  a nearly fresh install (except WW and some animations) and I like it very much. The most disturbing thing for me is, that it is nearly not possible to do any other interactions in the game, because your Sim is allways underways to some casting and then nearly without sleeping has to go to the scene again. Even if you cancel  the job you are invited to the next casting. I would wish, that you can decide on your own, if you want to go to a casting, or at least to pause between jobs. My Sim would sometimes like to explore the rest of the world.

For the gameplay I would suggest to implement some different backgrounds as there are in the actor career (Pirate, Doctor, etc) and some different locations for the sexual intercourse. Ther is a bench, it could also have a marker and so on.. If you want to go further, it would be nice, to travel to other locations, for example a hospital, police station, beach, event location and so on. It would be cool, if the staff and some equippment (director chair, some cameras ... ) would travel with the protagonist.

I like this mod but its too much one dimensional to fuck on the ground stage, it would be better if we have different location, different room, beds etc to have sex with...sometime threesome, foursome with different actors. It will be more fun

A few suggestions for your PornStar mod, if I may XD

1-> The game's acting career goals don't align with the PornStar career.

2-> It would be nice to be able to choose your scene partner instead of getting a random one.

3-> On stage, with the three sex scene options, you have to cancel the scene to move on to the next one.

4-> The stage outfits aren’t great either lol , maybe that’s just the game^^

 

Otherwise, the mod works well overall

 

But i just see version 0.2.3 early acces and maybe you have fixed some of my suggestions lol

Excellent so far, only ... my sim jumped right in, and couldn't do the "practice scene" task. I then figured out you need acting skill first.

Suggestion: Maybe add "practice acting" as well?

This mod is quite fun but I wish the agency didnt spam you so hard with auditions. My poor character got home, got into a bath and then it was time for the next audition. I cancelled it and went to bed, when I woke up the agency had booked another audition before I could even get food.

Make it so you book your own auditions like in the regular acting profession.

I suggest you make it so your character can choose (when picking auditions) what kind of scenes they want to perform, like male+female, female+female, male+male, threesomes, orgies and so on.

Also you make A LOT of money doing this, my first gig earned me 3200 instead of the 320 it was supposed to.
