placing a lot messed up my game

i've tried to place a lot in my world (some film studio with some.. questionable data, the size for the lot was 999x999, but was placeable ona 64x64 lot) and since then my whole game is fucked up. it didnt place the lot at all, if i try to play a family or edit a lot i just get booted back to the world screen. i already validated my game files, which only triggert a "displayname field missing from registry" error upon starting the game, which i got under control by reinstalling.

it works fine without my mods or tray folder, but i'd hate to lose all that stuff, so i'm just shooting my shot in hopes someone else already dealt with something like that. anybody got some ideas?

There is a sims 4 tool to edit saves and you might be able to remove the lot this way. But you need to search for it. I dont know the name of the tool. Its been awhile since I tried working with it.

i guess what you mean is sims 4 studio. i started meddling with it, but while reading into what to do i ran into some else with a similiar problem and it seems placing the lot somehow broke one of my mods? i still have to figure out which one exactly, but in case anyone ever faces this problem: its a broken mod, as usual.

thanks anyway zasz!

If your goal is simply to not lose the save, have you tried recovering an older version? I think TS4 saves like your last four versions of every save file, or something in that neighborhood, so you should be able to just go in and recover whatever was the most recent version before you tried to place this lot.
