an zoug Posted Tuesday at 10:23 AM Posted Tuesday at 10:23 AM (edited) Please help! I was in the house of Captured Dreams. During a cutsence, I decided to load the autosave(when out of the house) because of forgetting to configure MCM, and then the game crashed(CTD). Since then, every time I tryna open any save including fastsave, autosave and regular save, the game crashes after the save is loaded. crash-2026-07-21-10-08-51.log Edited Tuesday at 10:25 AM by an zoug additional information
traison Posted Tuesday at 10:41 AM Posted Tuesday at 10:41 AM This crash was caused by RaceMenu. It crashed while trying to dereference RDI which at the time of the crash was 0x0 - there's a null pointer somewhere. Its having issues with an NiTransformInterface on form id 0x7 reference id 0x14 "Astrid". SexLabUtil.dll was in some way involved in this as well. The string "cember" appears in the stack; not sure what that could be. Since this is a bug in skee64.dll, and you said this affects all your saves I would start by removing all transforms from the player character. Remove your SKSE cosave if you want to try to rescue a broken save, but note that this will break a lot more than just RaceMenu. Remove transforms from your RaceMenu preset before applying it to a new character. Start a new game, and don't apply any transforms in RaceMenu. Example of an empty transforms array in the jslot preset: "transforms": [], There is also this hack if you want to try to rescue a broken save with less damage to the rest of the game: https://www.loverslab.com/topic/235908-strange-2-year-unresolved-crash-when-loading-save-possibly-racemenu-related/#comment-4455375 May want to read the entire thread. The linked comment is not for your game version.
an zoug Posted Tuesday at 12:14 PM Author Posted Tuesday at 12:14 PM (edited) Thanks! I will try your hack, if it doesn't work, maybe I will open a new save, I didn't push too much anyway. But is there any way to prevent this from happening again? Like mods or manual configuration ... ? Or just applying less mods using rm overide? Edit: Does your hack suit for my game version(1.5.97)? All we know now is that this *could* be transform related, and that it *could* be stored in the SKSE cosave. Updating to 1170 might fix it, as as far as I know RM is not backporting updates to older versions. 35 minutes ago, an zoug said: Does your hack suit for my game version(1.5.97)? That is in the thread I linked.
