To be upfront, I'm not using the official Steam release — I'm running a non-Steam version of the game. I suppose that's very likely the reason why the mod isn't working correctly for me.

I was wondering if there's any potential workaround to make it work with non-Steam builds, or if this mod is only designed to work with the official Steam version? Really appreciate your time and all the help you've offered

Sorry, I cannot help with any pirated versions of the game (or console mods) since I only have the official steam version of the game.  You can look through my post on how to unpack .pac files for sky 1st and play the game without using the xinput1_4.dll here, maybe that will help.

There is no difference between a pirated version and non pirated version. If it's a proper crack the files will be the same.
