DirtyOldSim Posted July 21 Posted July 21 I have a question for my fellow creators. What criteria do you use when you know you've made a good sim? Is it download count or views? And how do you know you've made a clunker? I know I've made a few of those on here. When do you know you've made one good enough to put on your Patreon or here?
SilentAegis Posted July 22 Posted July 22 (edited) I don't release Sims, but I've made plenty. Examples below for "credibility", I guess. Download count and views tell you whether a Sim is popular, searchable, trendy, or well-presented. Not if it's "good". For me, a Sim is good if the vision I had for creating them comes to fruition, the look works, I can see what their personality and backstory is, and/or/a combination of these and... I simply had fun creating them. This is all I'd need to share a Sim. If I was inclined to do that, anyway. Looking through your own work, you're a good creator, man. My personal favorites are Myles Banger and Heather Spicer. There's just so much personality in their faces, it's great. Don't worry so much. Just share whatever you think is good because somebody will like it, just as I have liked yours. Edited July 22 by SilentAegis
