Skooma_bodyshots Posted July 14 Posted July 14 (edited) I assure you i've looked and looked and asked and asked but i can't seem to find a solution to this pretty basic question so i figured somebody here might know. Not really doing LL or sex mod stuff or anything like that, i'm just basically modding my game to make everything more immersive/anatomically realistic. My physics, faster hdt/cbpc are all configured correctly and all my humanoid npcs/player are receiving physics where they should but none of the physics enabled creature mods/replacers, some only list cbpc as a requirement, which i got, and it is working. Since this is not a question a lot of people ask elsewhere i'm assuming due to other uses for creature physics in the modding community maybe creature physics just isn't supported by the basic config files with these physics mods and i need something else or there's a setting in a config that's i need to change. Any help would be appreciated. None of these have the super in depth physics of stuff like MNC, just normal dangly/jiggly parts Edited July 14 by Skooma_bodyshots 1
waldschrat58 Posted July 14 Posted July 14 Maybe you should write which creatures you mean. I can't imagine that you need physics for animals, falmers, rieklings and the like. I also think that the skeletons of the creatures are not designed for this (too few bones).

Hey thanks so much for responding. There's a few pretty basic anatomically correct creature replacers with physics in all the areas you'd expect things to move. This one in particular is the one i feel like if i could figure out how on earth i'm supposed to get it work i could just know how to do this. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/70566 It comes with two cbpc config files that best i could tell should enable physics on it, i assumed if you drop them in the cbpc config folder. I"m uploading them so you can take a look. I"m not sure if this is new configs themselves or if these are instructions to paste into an existing cpbc config file. These did look like add on config files that should not only enable physics on trolls but with the instructions for how things are supposed to move. PUtting them in the cpdc plugins folder did nothing. Upon finally finding one single post talking about this from what i understand creature physics are disabled by default in cpbc and you had to give the cbpc config the command to allow physics on an npc type. The post was very old and pointed to a section dedicated just for this in the cbpc master config but that section doesn't seem to exist in the newest version. I super appreciate your help! In my CBPCMasterConfig.txt there is also the line ExtraRaces= under [Settings]. Maybe you should try to see if it works with the entry: ExtraRaces=Troll, Snow Troll Spoiler 1

I will try that! I copied all the text in and yeah nothing happened, i'll try adding the extra races rule and see if it works, then i have to pass out, I'd still like to figure this out not because i care about the troll but i'm just getting into skyrim and modding and i'm just trying to learn how all this works. It's a deep ocean to dive into but i'm having a lot of fun when things works. Appreciate ya.

I got the text copied at the bottom of their respective configs in cbpc, i wrote in the line myself for the extra races how you said. It ain't working. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/70566 That's the mod, i wonder if you or anybody else can get it to work. I think only one person in the comments mentioned the physics so i dunno, maybe it's just busted. that troll is the only thing in my game that can get physics but isn't.

I'm sorry, then I don't know what to do. I have MoreNastyCritters for my creatures. This makes them more or less anatomically correct.

I'm just looking for some biological realism/immersion/amusement. I also looked at mnc and theres no pictures or even list of what models are in it. If that can also function as just a non explicit creature replacer, espcially if it has physics for a non SL setting i'd be interested but it doesn't seem like it's that. I'm also assuming it probably comes with it's own ready made config files for cbpc with all the orders and commands and permissions in place which is why nobody knows how to do this haha if anybody else can make sense of this i'm just curious how this works at this point. deepnude2 Posted Wednesday at 08:50 PM Posted Wednesday at 08:50 PM Creature physics are not enabled "per race" in CBPC anymore. They're driven by the skeleton, bone weights, and matching config entries. If human physics are working, your CBPC installation is probably fine. I'd start by checking whether the troll replacer's skeleton actually contains the same bone names referenced by its CBPC configs. Nine times out of ten that's where the issue is, or another mod is overwriting the custom skeleton.

It's hard to navigate this stuff cuz so much of what scant info there is on it appears to be out of date. I experimented with putting that troll mod (and gave up) everywhere in my load order and just couldn't get it work. I'm developing a better understanding of how this works so i'll check and post the bone names from nifskope. 1
