LoneGentleman's Nora RaceMenu Preset

This was supposed to become a follower, but I kept running into an issue with Creation Kit. Something about it not being able to find Bone JG Hair...etc. Unable to find a solution and not really having the time for it I decided to simply release her as a RaceMenu Preset.

Requirements:

High Poly Head
LDD Advanced Eyes Addon for CVEO
LDD CVEO
LDD Better Eye Shape for HPH
LDD Eyebrows for Women
KS Hairdo's

I also provide the assets folder. Perhaps any of you will be able to turn her into a follower - or I find out what the problem is and make her into a follower myself eventually.

I'd love to hear some feedback, since it's my first preset. Seeing screenshots would also be cool.

I am using Diamond Skin in the screenshots.

Hello, here is my feedback:

Usually when people release a preset, they just package the SKSE chargen files like the .jslot file, the nif headmesh scult and the facegen texture. No need to include other dependencies files like mesh for faceparts or textures files. This make the filesize smaller as well.

The headmesh shared have all the texture paths for your current modlist, not the folder structure provided in your zip file.

Relative to your creation kit issue, my theory is that you had an SMP version of KS hairdo installed and active when generating the head mesh from CreationKit.
Since the smp bones were not present in your skeleton that failed, it should probably works better to use the ingame racemenu export to generate the headmesh and it should works as long as you select the correct faceparts. I find easier to edit/create part of the follower data in XEdit than in creation Kit.

On the preset itself, looks cute from side view, but i think the eyes or iris size are a bit too big or the head scale should be smaller/face bigger, you should think on what you want here : a pixar/disney character or a more real character.

thanks for the feedback. I’ll look at the file structure again, but I meant to only upload the JSON. Maybe I got the wrong file zip file uploaded. Or maybe you mean I should include the nif and dds. I can include them if they’re necessary.

as for the hair. Originally I used an SMP hair, then I moved over to a regular one thinking that was the issue, but still got the error and the crash. Didn’t know I could use xedit. Just trying to follow some YouTube tutorials, which can be hard since everyone’s got a different setup.

well to be honest she went through a lot of stages (this might be the 20th iteration or so) which she looked more realistic in the beginning, but then I decided I wanted to opt for a doll like look. So yes she is supposed to look stylised and not real.

In my own game I have her head scaled to 1.4 and the proportions are based on 3d animation sequences that I freezed and layed over screenshots of her then make more changes. I’ll experiment a bit with the size of her face relative to her head, making it fill the head a little bit more - if I can. Sliders only go so far xD

i also find she looks best in soft even lighting, shadows don’t flatter her too much.

Edit: haha damn it, I accidentally uploaded the folder I was working out of for the standalone follower xD woops

I’ll fix that tomorrow, but I’ll keep the folder there in case someone wants to make her a follower i guess
