Softbody Compatability & Conversion Questions

Is there a way to automate the conversion of armors from CBBE 3BBB to softbody? It feels like that would be possible since the difference isn't proportions so much as it is just adding a lot of bones right? I mean, the conversion process doesn't involve you doing anything except having the program apply the bones for you essentially (Though this is performed through a very tedious, slow, and repetitive series of buttons on outfit studio)

I'm honestly surprised I haven't found any conversion mods for it at all, it seems popular, and while time consuming, it doesn't seem too difficult to convert 3B armors.

The second question being, will I face any compatibility issues with any other kind of body scaling functions for any of my (~200) mods? For example, Fill her up? Will the belly node scaling still work as intended? My head is starting to get overloaded with how much I've been forcing into it trying to figure a lot of this stuff out (Steam says I have 181 hours on MO2....)

Maybe the FHU example was a little stupid, but i feel like it gets my question across. I'm pretty sure FHU will work fine, it's other things I'm worried about.

Any assistance from someone smarter than me is greatly appreciated. You guys have been good to me so I hope someone will have some advice for this one too.

Would also just like to add that to have multiple different body styles applied to random NPCs using OBody you have to download "bodyslide presets" in the body you have chosen. A bodyslide preset is basically a pre-morphed customized shape for your chosen body that you can chose to use for your armors if the default shape of the chosen body could use a little tweaking (bigger/smaller chesticles, thicker/slimer thighs etc etc, the possibilities are endless). If you have 3 different bodyslide presets and use OBody, those presets will randomly be distributed to NPCs. If you only have the default CBBE body for example, then all bodies will have that body. I hope i made sense?

I appreciate what you're saying, but that isn't really relevant to what I was asking... My question is less to do with presets and distribution of armors / bodytypes, and more to do with the presence of and correct bone placements required to have physics work correctly on armors and in relation to other mods that use those bones (I use a lot of functional nudity armors that often fully expose breasts Ex: Interesting bits, KSO Mage Robes, and Somewhere in between with zap options to expose more)

Not to mention, I don't use OBody :<

On the softbody nexus page here: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/152103?tab=files

There is a file available called "Video tutorial converting physical clothing"

Maybe you could find a way to automate the process using a tool like this one:

Also if its a simple conversion process, maybe ai could be used to vibe code a tool to automate the process. I eventually might make it myself when I get the chance, but feel free to steal the idea.

Regarding your second question I cant say for sure, but since softbody is built of 3ba it should support all the same morphs as original 3ba as far as I know. Of course I could be wrong and the only way to know for sure is to test it in game.

Unfortunately, it seems like softbody isn't one of the supported conversions, and at the moment, I cannot take the headache of using python to generate the EXE file to run it anyway (at least not right now, I know its not that complicated but it feels like it because nothing is ever straightforward for me).

No offense to you, but the thought of resorting to generative AI for coding (or in general) makes me want to itch my brain with a lead pellet.
