supercaca Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 To me the combat mele system in skyrim its a shit! Oblivion was more cool with diferent speeds and more things. So the question is; A good combat mod? Which one is the best?
gaggedgirl123 Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 Honestly I've seen many mods that alter the combat balance, damage, and that sort of stuff. Also many mods redoing unarmed combat, which Bethesda was cool enough to make completely useless in the base game. But mods that alter the actual flow of combat, I've seen none. The speed differences you talk about are already in the vanilla game though, just quite a lot more subtle.
HeavyDude Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 There's a whole section on the Nexus devoted to combat. It's called "Combat". Guest Ragna_Rok Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 you could also try to make a personal reballancing for yourself... its not that hard, youd just have to calculate values for armor and weapons you desire, including range, speed and crit chance, and simply change the numbers in the ck. save as your personal combat-mod, done.
Naynay Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 I think ive played with every "good" combat mods out there, Skyre, ACE, SPERG, duel, deadly combat etc. spent like 10-20 hours each one. In the end I ended up liking and using deadly combat+SPERG the most. It just mixes in better with the mods i use, keeping it fun, balanced, and still challenging without the old, boring, "who can take more hits" style which mods like duel and ultimate combat still has. WIth SPERG+deadly combat I use Stealth Skills Rebalanced(sneak basic), dual wield parry, and BYOG(customize movement speed, carry weight, atk speed, etc) i only use it for the -15% movement speed and -100 carry weight. For Enemy A.I. I'm using Erkeil's Enhanced Enemy AI, ASIS (more spawn option, out of 100%...1extra=40%, 2=15%, 3=5%), Revenge Of the Enemy - Ai Overhaul, and SkyTEST(realistic animal behavior only from optionals) Monster mods I use skyrim immersive creatures(SIC), monster mod, deadly dragons, and bellyaches new dragon species. Spells im only using apocalypse, Wrath of nature, TK combat(which is pretty much using spells with weapons) for weapons+armors its your choice really reasons why i mentioned enemy ai, monster mods, and spells i use etc is because SPERG is pretty op but balanced when used with everything else i mentioned above.
