The models never changed what do i do

The only thing I’m having difficulty with regarding mods is that the base models for the player and Npcs don’t change from base game  the textures change and the animations play but the models don’t follow them or and of the custom models I downloaded I just need to know if I need to change file types of priority order I have  (for models) in no particular order
