stepmeup2 Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 I don't know if this the right place to ask but I think I should try, my problem is in 3DSMax When I finish import skeleton body mesh and animation in, then the body just start to look weird, I don't know how to put this since ENG is not my main language so . . don't know why but this remind me of the TITAN manga thought. Anyway thanks for reading Oh and on this picture i use normal female skeleton with 7base body
Guest Ragna_Rok Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 its been a while since i saw armor looking like that. buuuut, youre lucky, you met the right guy. when i made my first armor, it looked fucked up just like that. the problem was, i actually skinned my armor for regular bodies to a not-regular-body-skeleton. the result looked just like that ingame. are you sure your data is consistent? ... i mean, do you import the RIGHT SKELETON TO THE RIGHT BODY? ... you cant import the regular skeleton to not regular body, the problem is that the coordinates of the skeletons from different bodies arent on the same coordinates, and the fucked up result looks just like that. good luck ps: thats no issue of 3dsmax, i had the same in blender.
canderes Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 The skeleton you import must be the same one used to make the body. The vanilla skeleton is missing bones and the skin modifier doesn't know what to do with them. The easiest fix I would recommend though would be to get the importer from the niftools forum. The importer from nexus has a ton of issues with the pivot and scale of imported bones. I normally use the niftools one for animation and the nexus one for rigging. If you are making armor or bodies also check ignore bone scale under the skin modifier.
Guest Ragna_Rok Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 hey canderes, if you know that... why didnt you make a mod yet? ... its such a pain in my heart to notice all the pros here, sometimes knowing more than i will ever know, yet rarely folks upload stuff... dont you make mods yourself? just simple curiosity. *cheers*
FastestDogInTheDistrict Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 Are you trying to use XPMS in 3dsMax by any chance? If so, STOP. What you show in that pic is one of many bugs I encountered when trying to use XPMS in Max. Use one of Skulltyrant's "Custom Skeleton Replacers" instead. Browse carefully down through the (long) list of options, and pick one that best resembles your mod choices. I use "Basic 6".
stepmeup2 Posted February 6, 2014 Author Posted February 6, 2014 Thanks you guys so much for useful information and solution I just wanna kiss you guys right now *awkward I try XPMS once and I can't even find a body, everything just collapse together to the point that make me wanna pour in some red and it will look just like a crime scene.
