Anyone else tired of Patreon links that are locked up.

I feel that this site is turning into a free billboard for all most of the Sims 4 content on Patreon. You used to be able to click on the download link and get your download.  Now you click and it opens their site at Patreon and the stinkin' item you want is locked.  You just wasted our time.  There should be a rule that only UNLOCKED stuff can be linked.

I'm tired of CC creators having content for the game that's permanently locked behind their Patreons. So yes, I understand yours.

That too. I forgot to mention it. Sometimes it just stays locked for years.  This site could probably save a ton of bandwith and storage by cracking down on these guys.  Like I said it's just free advertising for them here.

Better yet, LoversLab should start charging them rent. They charge money on Patreon, but get free rent here. Just something for the mods here to think about.

What it is, is that people don’t read the rules or they forget about them entirely. There is a rule that only free content can be posted because we are a free site. The downside is that rule violators don’t get punished, only the offending post gets taken down. Said post is often times reposted later.

Not as big a problem, but it pisses me off that even the freebies are Patreon redirects and not locally hosted. I complained two years ago that Patreon (like a lot of other sites) started blacklisting VPN access, and these days I'm not sure it works at all. I don't even know what's paywalled or not because I can't view it in the first place.

I agree. Those links make Loverslab look like one of those sites that say they'd let you download stuff for free and then flashbang you with paywalls (I think those have a name, I just forgot it).

Now, I admit that I don't know the rules enough but it definitely goes against the spirit of the site.

Agreed, this shit is getting really out of hand, with a handful of modders treating the front page as their personal little free advertising board. I'm actually somewhat impressed by how shameless some of them are by their paywall shilling.
