Mina the Hollower modding?

Kinda surprised to not have seen any adult mods for the game yet, what with the hype around it and the main character

I think mods would mainly center around replacing the splash screen sprites or Mina's mirror reflections, making any meaningful edits to her normal sprites seems somewhat hard to achieve?

To mod the game, we first need to know how to extract the game's assets and how to replace them.

 

At the moment, my only means of getting her sprites is from the game's press kit.

Editing her gameplay sprites isn't particularly hard, but they're not going to be the most exciting thing to look at when you could barely see her ladybits, no pun intended.

I still went ahead and try anyway just for fun, and also because just the mere concept of her being simply naked is enough to get me going.

If adding detail to her body is impossible on such a small sprite sheet, how about just enlarging her assets?

Make some ass and tits stick out on her normal sprites, I'd say

The height of her body is only like 3 or 4 pixels tall (not counting outlines).

You'd essentially just be replacing her body with a pair of tits (or cheeks) that's about as large as her body.

If you're into that, be my guest, but I'm happy enough to just see her white furry mouse body.

Also I know this is still early on progress, but if someone figures it out how to change it other sprites like portrait and mirror, it would be nice.

Leaving a comment here because A. I want to get future updates, and B. I do have one question though out of curiousity. How complicated would it be, for a game like this using sprites, would it be to turn the player character inter a Mermaid/Merman?

very. she's small as is, and a merfolk tail takes up half the body. unless a way to increase sprite sizes comes out this is all we get

I still think the biggest potential in terms of making visible changes are her splash screen sprites and mirror reflection, her overworld sprite doesn't have that much space to work with unless someone goes and just extends her appearance to the sides and makes her curvy/fat

I think for this game, the bare minimum for her being nude would be fine for many people. So I do agree her splash screens and other full arts of her in the game should be prioritized.

Personally I think a text edit would be great too for a game like this, since visible nudity wouldn't be as prominent.

considering she already runs around bottomless I'm not too sure public nudity is as much a concern as it is irl. perhaps some comments about how it must be chilly naked, or that one guy who keeps commenting about wanting to eat the cloak right off of her being more intimate in said comment due to the lack of cloak

I don't actually own the game yet (only played the demo) so I have to wonder, is Mina the only one who just doesn't wear pants?

I got the impression that Mina has some high-status for being a hollower so she might just be exempted from petty crimes like indecent exposure if there's any.

Although I imagine she still would've received some playful comments teasing her on showing her rodent pussy all the time to everywhere she goes.

Perhaps more so if she actually is naked, showing her mouse nipples and all.

funny enough, it seems hollowers are actually looked down upon, since apparently a key technique is digging through the dirt. Mina in particular seems to have some renown, however, apparently being the inventor of what I believe to be the primary power source across the island.

and that's actually a good point, I haven't really seen many characters that aren't wearing pants, excluding your RPG trope intelligent passive monster here and there, ofc.

She isn't the only one per say, as the main villain you fight against seems to be bottomless as well, and a quite a few other NPC's. It feels like a society where clothing is optional.

I can see quite a few lewd/innuendo lines surrounding her in many ways, without spoiling anything, the game isn't exactly PG with its dialogue. And with some certain scenes in general.

 

To tack on, there's an actual mechanic in game called "Pit Sweat" (Genuinely), where Mina will have sweat particles around her sprite when she's on the edge of a pit that can kill her. That's become a gag by some for her being sweaty/smelly. As well as quite a few art of it. So there could be dialogue about that in someways. Depending on how one would go about that.

there is an experimental beta for mods btw. currently bare bones especially since the game is relatively new, but at least the devs do have modding in mind
