sci fi samurai Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 I apologize if this is old news or a repost, but I found this recently and the information has seemed to help me, at least. It's from an old Nexus forum post that's a couple years old. I tried it out and it has helped me, but I can't really tell you why- I'm not very well versed in this stuff. http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/633229-less-ctds-maybe-none/ I had so many ctds (most were random but some were repeatable), so I searched and found this:http://www.creationk...tings_(Papyrus) Skyrim.ini[Papyrus]fUpdateBudgetMS=1.2fExtraTaskletBudgetMS=1.2fPostLoadUpdateTimeMS=500.0 ;Xenon and PS3 use 2000.0iMinMemoryPageSize=128iMaxMemoryPageSize=512iMaxAllocatedMemoryBytes=76800bEnableLogging=0bEnableTrace=0bLoadDebugInformation=0bEnableProfiling=0I began by doubling some values and now it looks so:[Papyrus]fUpdateBudgetMS=800fExtraTaskletBudgetMS=800fPostLoadUpdateTimeMS=2000iMinMemoryPageSize=256iMaxMemoryPageSize=512iMaxAllocatedMemoryBytes=2457600bEnableLogging=0bEnableTrace=0bLoadDebugInformation=0bEnableProfiling=0 I figured I'd repost this here to see if it might help anyone else having problems, but also to submit it for greater scrutiny. I only have a vague idea as to what I'm looking at. Take care.
Loyotaemi Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 Ive done this same exact method of ini tweaking and it honestly did nothing good for me. I ended up just reverting everything back to the original setting on the wiki you linked and my game pretty much is just is crash-free along with SSME. Those ini tweaks really dont do anything, and if they do, its certainly doesn't help once you get farther in the game.
