Settle an argument.... about WickedWhims

Me and my girlfriend both play The Sims 4. We both have Wicked Whims. We fired up The Sims for the first time in ages.

 

I had mentioned that I, you know, over the animations / stories. 

 

She started saying "That's weird. It freaks me out". 

 

I said "Why do you think people make these animations? I'm sure 90% of people who have them use it for that purpose..." 

 

Is that safe to say? Or are there genuinely people here who just add it for realism and not as a particular kind of simulator?

I think you're both a bit wrong here. Being shocked that someone masturbates to sexual animations regarding fictional characters is a little naive. It is still porn, after all, even if it may not always be used that way. 

But by saying "I'm sure 90% of people who have them use it for that purpose", you are attempting to universalize it, which is where you're off. Maybe you're right, but you don't truly know if you are. I use sex animations for realism and I admit, it's a lot of fun watching my attractive Sims have sex, but I don't masturbate to them. Still, many people could install these animations for realism, mature worldbuilding, or simply having adult content available without constantly using it for arousal. 

Even if you are right, she's still allowed to have that boundary. 

So to sum up, she's wrong for acting like sexual use of Wicked Whims is somehow shocking or unheard of. But I think you're wrong if you believe "lots of people do it" should automatically make your girlfriend comfortable with that. The crux of the issue here is relationship boundaries and the conversation should be framed within that lens. 

Credit to you for doubting your own position, though. At least you're thinking about it. Hope this advice from a random stranger on a adult modding website helped, lol.

I mean... I use it to polish the old knob, sure. But it is nice to have that little bit of added realism.

 

Then again, I prefer fake stuff to real stuff these days because of the horrendous stories I've heard about tube sites and "the industry". That doesn't mean that I don't look to real sources for fap material at all, I just don't do it that often anymore, in fact it's pretty rare that I do these days, and adult mods in the Sims helps me with that.

 

In short, yes, there are those who use it for "polishing" purposes, but some do not.
