Game keeps crashing.

Hi, I recently reinstalled the GOG version of Fallout 4 and the game has been crashing when it gets to the main menu.  I have never had this problem before.

It's often hard to say what's exactly the reason for game crashes. So here are some very general thoughts:

You say you didn't have the problem before. Does that mean the game worked with exactly this configuration before and suddenly stopped? In this case I would perhaps even think about a hardware or driver error. Do you perhaps use overclocking?

In case you recently made changes you could try to revert them.

Did you uncap frame rates? If yes, you could cap them again to the vanilla value.

Which mod manager do you use and would it be possible to create a new profile with no mods enabled so that you can try to start the unmodded game?

Did you try to load the game through the f4se_loader directly from the main game folder? And have it run as admin?

F4SE creates logfiles in .............\Documents\My Games\Fallout4\F4SE. Perhaps you find some useful information there. Afaik for the GOG version F4SE needs a start argument.

 

I see frame generation in your modlist. You could try to disable it as it seems that some users on game version 163 experience crashes with it and it is not compatible to ENB or reshade shaders that use depth calculation like DoF.

After I posted this I figured it out.  I had installed NAF wrong after I fixed the installation the game now works like normal.  Thank you for taking your time to reply to my post.
