Same issue as here.

What are skin overrides, anyway? Haven't a clue what mods would apply them. Clearly they're not inline file overrides of textures?

Overrides replace (for instance) your current skin diffuse texture. Overlays are rendered on top of your skin diffuse texture, and they each occupy their own NiNode in the RM overlay nif if I'm not mistaken.

Personally I used overrides to provide gradual belly inflation normalmaps, but this has since been replaced by MDNM. Another use-case would be to give the player or a follower a unique look.

Is this the same sort of slot for tattoo, cum, etc?

Tattoos are overlays, and SL cum is by default a spell shader. Spell shaders there can only ever be one of, which explains why SL cum disappears when you cast Oakflesh, or have certain weather mods installed.

ok so after going to that thread reading almost everything and replacing my dll for the second one in there something weird happened.i entered the game fine loaded the save and all went fine until i entered an inn two of the npcs have streched textures disabled them problem solved enabled them again problem back.then i leaved the place after some time go to the jarl palace and after some minutes(3 in game hours)i saw some streching textures or try to cause i could not turn the camera towards the direccion(almost go blind).i exit the place and after 2 seconds my pc froze and threw a blue screen telling it was going to reboot but i ended reinstalling the entire system cause of that so yeah thats that.

You're not supposed to play with the hacked dll. It's only meant for rescuing saves that are crashing: load a broken save, save and quit the game, remove the hack, load the rescued save. Also the problem will most likely come back sooner or later unless you also remove or at least reduce the mods you have that apply skin overrides to NPCs. That is the current theory anyways.

As long as all drivers are properly made, there's no way for a usermode application to cause a BSOD. I guess you're using nVidia drivers.

In that case this is a new set of circumstances. The current theory up until now has been that there might be some limit to how many NPCs RM can save overrides for. I've personally used overrides for a long time on my character and a couple of followers and never ran into this issue myself.

i mean sure i have mods that change the appearance of npcs but usually they dont use mine they have their own overrides.except the skin but only females use that.
