Melissa_69 Posted April 19 Posted April 19 I'm using a MSI Pro Series, I'm wanting to get a hold of an Asus ROG system, but are they better than MSI Pro Series PC's? My Specs are within my Signature.
DuoMaxwell003 Posted April 19 Posted April 19 Laptop or desktop? Pre-built or piecing it together? imo ROG is far better than MSI, but it can be more expensive.
plutocene Posted April 19 Posted April 19 Whats your budget? If you're ousting a 4060, I assume you can spend 3K, because thats what a higher end rig would cost these days. Also, if you can, assemble yourself, prebuilt rigs always have downsides, they are either overpriced or have at least one weak component.

I figured the ROG is a far more superior product. The ROG G700 Gaming Desktop is what I'm looking for after reading all the reviews on Best Buy, very expensive indeed! https://www.bestbuy.com/product/asus-rog-g700-gaming-desktop-intel-core-ultra-7-265kf-32gb-memory-nvidia-geforce-rtx-5070-12gb-2tb-ssd-black/JJGGLH35S7

No I'm not trying oust my 4060, it's a good product w/16GB power, I might even remove it from my MSI over to my ROG.

Why not go to the source, Best Buy sucks, I bought a PC from Newegg and it came in the original box, no extra packging, no padding, came with great big holes kicked into the box, refund took almost 3 weeks. My first PC was a bestbuy item, they suck! I just bought my new PC from https://www.ibuypower.com/ , which is ASUS, They built it, tested it, shipped it all very quick and it arrived damage free, double boxed with actual padding inside, video card was boxed seperately so it did not get beat up in shipping, I had a really good experience with them, plus they have a tech line for dummies like me to access service after the sale. Good Luck with your new PC. Edited April 22 by Raven 54 1

There are a lot of systems better than your proseries or the rog. Again, without knowing what kind of specs you're looking for and within what budget, no one can give you proper advice. Also, what are you using it for? Just games? Productivity like photo or video editing? Do you like to keep a lot of tabs open in your web browser? What web browser are you using? All of these questions will affect the specs of what kind of system you want to look for. Building it yourself will always, hands down, be better. If you're not confident that you can do so then check youtube. There are probably thousands of videos that can walk you through the process. Knowing where to get good advice is also very important. Personally, I would say fuck best buy. You'll be lucky to find anyone who actually knows anything there. If you live near a Microcenter, go there. Here is a good guide to look through to help you answer some of your questions and guide you further.
