solgesyd Posted April 18 Posted April 18 probebly but we might have to wait since it kinda flew under the radar compared to other gachas like the recent arkknight endfild and NTE that will realese in a few days 1

Hopefully, the page will be reinstated. I would like to see mods for this game, as well. Mainly the removal of the character transparency shader like other games, because that's just annoying in the first place. 2

I was going to put a simple post requesting a mod for the game (so that there will be some activity), but I apparently don't have enough points to make posts. I recommend that someone post something soon before it gets closed again (if that's how it works). 3
Tourist39 Posted August 2 Posted August 2 (edited) Greetings! As far as I can tell, there are still no mod publications on Nexus, GameBanana, or Ayaka. So, I would like to share my findings regarding Mongil modding so far.  Mongil can be modded using 3DMigoto. Luckily, Mongil is compatible with DirectX 11, so the first thing you need to do is enable it in the graphics settings.   Now you can use any version of 3DMigoto you prefer. Just set your target to:  target = BigCat-Win64-Shipping.exe  I'm using a version of 3DMigoto that's intended for GFL2 modding, and it works just fine.  Now everything is set up for modding. As always, remember to save your mods in the Mods folder and enable Hunting in your d3dx.ini. I'll provide the version of 3DMigoto that I'm using, where the hunting key is set to Numpad 0.  Now just perform a frame analysis like you would in any other game by enabling global hunting with the following line in d3dx.ini:  ;analyse_options = dump_rt dump_tex dump_cb dump_vb dump_ib buf txt dds deferred_ctx_accurate, Just remove the ; at the beginning to enable it.  Now go to the game and press F8, this can create a FrameAnalysis folder as large as 35 GB, or you can use targeted hunting with the dump.ini provided in the Mods folder. This reduces the FrameAnalysis folder to around 600 MB. Just remember to set the Pixel Shader beforehand, otherwise the FrameAnalysis folder will be empty. The provided 3DMigoto configuration is already set to the Pixel Shader that most characters use for their clothing, although there are some exceptions.  With this setup, you can create texture-only mods such as panties mods, recolor clothing, and even create your own Monsterling textures.  Regarding panties textures, unfortunately, most characters use mirrored textures like these:    As you can see, one side is the mirrored version of the other, which really limits your options. You can only place symmetrical images in the center; otherwise, they'll become distorted, like this:   Fortunately, this changes with Mabel, who has a completely dedicated panties section in the DDS file. That's definitely a step in the right direction   I haven't spent much time experimenting with Monsterling modding yet, but it's definitely possible since the DDS files can be easily obtained through FrameAnalysis.   Unfortunately, that's about the extent of my current knowledge. For removing pieces of clothing, I tried the old trick of deleting the corresponding texture from the DDS file, which works in most games, but here it simply turns the clothing black.   Therefore, the only way to remove clothing appears to be through mesh modding. I tried importing the .ib and .vb files from FrameAnalysis into Blender using the 3DMigoto plugin, but without success. Hopefully someone with more experience can figure out a proper method for mesh modding.  So that's all I have for now. I'm leaving my files in the 3DMigoto Mods folder.  IMPORTANT NOTES All provided mods must be toggled on and off using the 0 key (not Numpad 0). I've logged around 100 hours using 3DMigoto in Mongil for testing, and I haven't received any ban so far. Most gacha games are fairly welcoming toward the modding community, such as GFL2, Snowbreak, NTE, ZZZ, and others. However, we still don't know Mongil's stance regarding mods. I've experienced random disconnects while using 3DMigoto during long periods of inactivity, since I often leave the game running while testing. So far, this has never happened during active gameplay. My computer is fairly old, and I've noticed some lag spikes while using 3DMigoto, especially in the main towns where there are lots of assets. During farming, however, the game runs smoothly. I'd appreciate any feedback so I can determine whether this is just an issue with my PC. I put an eel pie in Esther's panties and a goat eating paper in Mabel's because I thought it was pretty funny.   3dMigoto.rar Edited August 2 by Tourist39 9
axellslade Posted August 5 Posted August 5 Really hope modding for this game catches up like Genshin Impact, Zenless Zone Zero and others. 1
ragde42 Posted August 11 Posted August 11 in the moment someone solve the mesh issue, i will do mods for ALL females  4
Lord_Ragh Posted August 11 Posted August 11 It would be such a shame if nothing happens. Â The game has so funny and adorable characters. I don't laugh often watching TV or playing games (doesn't matter if it's a Sitcom, Comedy or something else). But in this game it happens more often than usual. I appreciate that. Â Wish I would be a modder. ;-) 1
GuyInDogSuit Posted August 17 Posted August 17 The swimsuit versions of Francis and Verna would definitely be fair game for mods lol 1
1010_0 Posted August 22 Posted August 22 https://github.com/hondaislife420/SDMI-Package This allows we to mod the model, but it seems that only Verna is currently supported. I think it would be possible to mod other characters in the same way by editing the script, but I don't know which parts to edit. 2
