Bruce offers a new pill when you lose at cards: an offer to good to be true? Take the pill, and see if you can outlast what he put in you. Survive the addiction, or let Bruce work his way deeper into your body, your head, and eventually your home.

 

 

- Bruce phone calls, pressure, denial, and craving scenes

- Bar flirt / surrender content, including approaching Bruce yourself

- Escalating bar content that can carry into a home followup

- A home confession route with Alexia

- A morning-after Alexia scene that helps bridge into later story content

- A movie-night threesome turning point

- A custom relapse scene with multiple phases

- Morning-after relapse fallout

- Dream and intrusive-thought progression tied to addiction depth

 

 

This mod is mostly complete, I have worked on it for a while and thought I would share with the community.  It is mostly text at this point, I am looking for someone to take it over for me as I do not wish to continue modding. I have new scenes stubbed out for a purple encounter and bruce transforming step dad into step mom but I did not include them in this release I will give those stub outs to whomever would like to take this mod over. i think there is something missing somewhere as the mod tries to find a picture modded/img/places/bar/outside.jpg but there is no outside.jpg anywhere in the basegame pictures or the ones paked with your mod.

 

running the 0.23.6 version of xcl.

I do have it, but I'm not sure which mod added it, maybe wharf and or one of the additional media files?

another picture is missing:
modded/img/places/home/bedroom/night.jpg

the only night.jpg i can find is one of the purple alexia ones.

it not in one of the basegamefiles nor in the files of this mod or any of its requirements which it has none listet.
if a mod needs pictures that arent in the basegame it either need to provide it by themself or list the one that brings them as a requirement, outgoing from that its probably something that got missed or lost..

I'm just letting you know where you might find it, this mod isn't mine 🤷‍♀️ does the scene break completely if there is no picture?

This mod seems to interact poorly with other mods. I can't tell if it's solely responsible, but I repeatedly get errors like this, mostly with Alexia. I believe it may be Spikedfun or Blacked that has the big issues with this mod. I have the mod list I was using linked as well.

Best XCL mod of the year!
 

This mod surprised me. The story is very good and the details are great. 

Most mods add a location, an effect, or some short interactions, but this mod immerses the player in a story that has implications for their daily life and, for a time, changes the entire story without breaking the base game.

Sadly, the mod is almost entirely text. But it seems easy to add some images to illustrate such a good story.

 

Things to improve:
- The beginning. Accepting an unknown pill from Bruce isn't very tempting. A better introduction is needed to make you want to willingly accept something that seems so dangerous.

- Some interactions with Alexia need polishing. For example, she occasionally reminds you in the morning how much fun she had with you over the weekend or how much she misses doing things together, after having bullied you with Bruce the day before.

 

Adding more backstory and interactions with your stepfather would be wonderful.

I use Spikedfun and Blacked and it works OK for me
