Is there any mod where a sim can be a porn director or erotic photographer?

It takes a minute to set up, and while it contains tracks for both porn actor and porn producer, the detailed live mode gameplay is mostly geared toward acting. It's still pretty robust. I think it's worth a try.

 

(File says it's only updated through December, but Ksuihuh has cleared it through the most recent patch on their patreon, and I can confirm it still works, as I have a very large porn industry in my current save.)

 

Once you get to the point you are buying your own studio for filming, I highly recommend you create some costars yourself in CAS, because if you don't, the randos that the game will create will require a lot of work to make presentable, anyway. As long as you have them join the AEP career or create a live cam channel on the AEP menu on the computer, they will be eligible for hiring for scenes. You don't ever really have to go back and play them again, if you don't want.

I don't see anything on that mod's page about producing. Can you tell me more about what a porn producer would actually do in that mod?

It's a rabbit hole career with two branches: acting and producing. So not much, really, on that end. But if you combine it with the film-recording aspects of the mod, you can create a fairly immersive facsimile. For example, I have a producer sim and an actor sim who are a couple. They own a studio for producing their adult films. They travel to the studio, hire co-stars and a camera operator through the phone, and then the producer sim gives the camera operator notes, and starts the recording, then the actor sim actually engages in the sex scene with the other porn stars, then the producer sim calls cut, takes the film to the editing station, polishes it, then uploads it. I'm betting with directed sex turned on in WW, he could do it with just the co-stars, and his actor partner wouldn't even need to be there.

 

I mean, he also self-produces films he stars in, too, everyone should get to have a little fun, right?
