I wonder if it can be fixed in the future I don't yet have the knowledge to fix this problem. When I first started creating these mods, there were no rainy areas on the map at all. Now, half of Ulin has rainy weather, and it's becoming a noticeable problem. Attempts to create my own wet body texture have been unsuccessful, as have attempts to copy the settings of other mod authors, who don't have problems with the wet effect because they use a different approach to creating their mods. This problem really irritates me, and I'm still trying to find the right approach to solve it.
Dam0nBaird Posted May 7 Author Posted May 7 (edited) I don't know if I should release the intermediate result of my experiments? - this is a complete disabling of the wetness effect on the body. Well, as for experiments...they explained to me that the tools I was using were long outdated. Edited May 7 by Dam0nBaird 4

Dam0nBaird Posted May 8 Author Posted May 8 (edited) Okay. That would be the best solution. It will take some time, since the mods have to be rebuilt for the new version of the tools. I'll do it gradually over the course of a week. For now, Akkekuri and Fluorita are ready—I'll post them this evening, and maybe Estella, if there are no problems transferring her. peter1730 Posted May 9 Posted May 9 Just a small suggestion, could you pls take off the administrator's shoes?

These body models simply don't have feet. And I don't know how to create feet yet. Maybe in the future, but not anytime soon.

When I do even with the newest versions Fluorite and Estelle get the usual weird texture. Putting Akekuri (using your mod) in the party disables wet effects for everyone. I know how much of a pain this rain effect has been for you but just thought I'd let you know this kind of stuff can still happen. Maybe hold off on going through all your old mods and changing them 3
Artania Posted May 10 Posted May 10 absolute astonishing works bro, easily my standard uniform for operators. a lil bug report though: once i install fluorite's, avywenna's head starting to shot a layer of weird shadow film toward bottom right, any ideas?

Maybe hold off on going through all your old mods and changing them I'll check it out when I have a chance. Judging by your screenshot, the Laevatain mod somehow replaces the wet textures in the other three mods. There are possible reasons (if my assumptions turn out to be wrong, I'm simply out of ideas). Laevatain still uses the old mod structure, and the mod itself is lower in the mod list and has a higher priority, so it somehow overwrites the wet map in the updated mods. 1
Dam0nBaird Posted May 10 Author Posted May 10 It will be difficult for me to test my theory since I can't recreate the problem. I completely removed Akekuri from the squad

I don't know how this is possible yet, but you're right. I'll see what I can do about it. The problem is with component 7 of Fluorite, which is responsible for the eyelids or eyeshadow (considering that I didn't even modify them, but transferred them as is) - I have no idea why they are connected to the Avivien eyelids. I'll fix it tomorrow - I just don't have time today. Edited May 10 by Dam0nBaird 1
HotaOsh708 Posted May 10 Posted May 10 So it turns out that the order the mods are arranged does indeed affect how the rain texture is displayed. I was using a mod manager at the time which caused my mods to be ordered differently from someone who isn't using a mod manager. I did some testing (without using a mod manager) with Akekuri, Fluorite, Estelle, and Laevatain together by adding a number to the mod file to change their order in the mod list. I've found out that the only thing that affected the wet textures was Laev's position in the list. If Laev was at the bottom we get the weird glitchy texture and if she was 1st 2nd or 3rd then the wet textures remain disabled like you planned. However one weird thing I noticed was that if Laev has a 2 digit number in her name and the other mods have single digit numbers, even if Laev is at the bottom of the list the wet textures remain disabled. 1
Dam0nBaird Posted May 11 Author Posted May 11 I updated the Fluorite mod. Now it shouldn't cause problems with Avivnaya. 1

Thanks for checking for me. Yes, mod order is very important for any game, which is why I don't use mod managers. I hope this is a temporary issue and the order won't affect my mods once I update all the other mods.
BigBelt Posted May 12 Posted May 12 I’m really enjoying the Chen mod! The quality is absolutely amazing. Thank you so much for always sharing such great work with us. Just a quick bug report, though—I keep noticing a strange white line on the inner left thigh. I actually dug through the texture files trying to fix it myself, but I honestly have no idea what's causing it.

You're not the first to point this out, but I couldn't recreate it on my computer to study and fix it. Chen's model itself is problematic—she came out of the game with some errors, so I'm surprised there aren't that many issues. The modding tools have been updated to the latest version, and I'm updating all my mods to use them. When I get to Chen's model, I'll study her in detail, as the mod will have to be rebuilt. I hope this will also solve the issue with the white line on her leg. 1
Lxx55 Posted May 12 Posted May 12 Hey buddy, if I may ask, are you planning to make a mod for the Unreal Engine 5 game (Neverness to Everness)?

This is a very good question. I play NTE a little myself and have been wanting to make a similar mod for at least Fadia and Hathor. But there are several difficulties. 1) I don't have the tools to work with this game (it would be great if the xxmi programmers created tools for NTE). 2) Working with a new game and new tools will require some training, and that will take some time. 3) I haven't yet completed my goal, which is to make an inappropriate mod for every female adult operator in Arknights Endfield (I know, a dubious goal in terms of quality). 4) For the next month, I'll be working two shifts—day and night—and I don't have much free time left, not counting sleep. I wouldn't rule out making a mod for NTE, but only when these difficulties are at least halved. Edited May 12 by Dam0nBaird 4

Sangoku25 Posted May 13 Posted May 13 I’ve heard about NTE as well, but it lacks a proper mod manager. The risk of getting banned is simply too high. Plus, being a mod there tends to cause more trouble than it's worth—so it’s really not worth the effort. Anyone who mods there without proper protection has only themselves to blame. I don't play it myself, though, since I’ve got plenty of other games already. And we’ve seen in other games just how ruthlessly they crack down on mods—especially if there isn't a proper mod manager in place to provide you with protection.
BigBelt Posted May 13 Posted May 13 Hello, I’d like to report another mod-related bug. For some reason, when using the Fluorita mod, Avywenna starts shooting beams out of her eyes. I confirmed that the issue disappears when the Fluorita mod is removed.

But there are several difficulties. 你好。这是一个很好的问题。我自己也玩 NTE,一直想为至少 Fadia 和 Hathor 制作类似的 mod。但是这其中存在一些困难。 1) I don't have the tools to work with this game (it would be great if the xxmi programmers created tools for NTE). 1)我没有玩这款游戏所需的工具(如果 xxmi 程序员能为 NTE 创建工具就太好了)。 2) Working with a new game and new tools will require some training, and that will take some time. 2)使用新游戏和新工具需要一些培训,这需要一些时间。 3) I haven't yet completed my goal, which is to make an inappropriate mod for every female adult operator in Arknights Endfield (I know, a dubious goal in terms of quality). 3)我还没有完成我的目标,那就是为《明日方舟:终末战场》中的每个成年女性干员制作一个不合适的 mod(我知道,就质量而言,这是一个值得怀疑的目标)。 4) For the next month, I'll be working two shifts—day and night—and I don't have much free time left, not counting sleep. 4)接下来的一个月,我要上两个班——白班和夜班——除了睡觉时间,我几乎没有空闲时间。 I wouldn't rule out making a mod for NTE, but only when these difficulties are at least halved. 我不排除为 NTE 制作 mod 的可能性,但前提是这些困难至少要减少一半。 Haha, it's so great to hear you say that! First of all, there's really no rush. I've compared the current situation on NTE; the mod managers are scattered and even incompatible with games on Chinese servers, though they seem fine for international servers—I've verified this myself. Games like Arknights Endfield have good xxmi support, so mod managers are really crucial. I'm still quite optimistic about this game; after all, NTE's urban gameplay is very realistic and I think it has great potential, but there's no need to rush. One last thing: everyone can see you really love this game and are writing everything with your passion, but please take care of your health! Finally, I wish you all the best, good health, and happiness!
