Chelovekas Posted July 22 Posted July 22 Hey! Should we expect any new characters like Mi Fu anytime soon? I absolutely love your mods, but for some reason, whenever I install mods from other creators, yours stop working.

I have the latest version of all mods and the experimental version of RabbitFX. I even disabled all other mods besides these like someone suggested...and still invisible =/ Edit: Ok, so it is a conflict with other mods. I disabled every other mod but these still didnt work. So then I completely removed other mods and they started working. So you cant even have disabled mods in the folder, they have to be removed completely. Unfortunate, as I use mods for every character Hopefully the compatibility can be fixed. Could you share an example of a mod that's causing the crash? I'm not very knowledgeable about this, but I'll try searching the mod's text file for any mention of RabbitFX. So many people are complaining about invisible bodies in the experimental version that sometimes I wonder if I'm the only one with these mods that work reliably.

Aldritch_L Posted July 22 Posted July 22 New issue: After switching to RabbitFx v43e4, Perlica's body becomes transparent when viewed up close.(Perlica1.3)

It's the experimental mods that stop working. I seem to have a regular Ardelia mod installed, and she's fine when I install a different mod. For example, maybe you can figure out the problem, here's a link to the mod I installed that made all your experimental mods transparent: "https://gamebanana.com/mods/661609" Edited July 22 by Chelovekas

I checked both versions, and as you can see in the screenshots, I zoom in as close as possible and nothing happens. I just don't know.

This guy started making Endfield mods before modding tools were even created (I'm not kidding). He uses a different method for creating his mods than xxmi, and I don't think many people will be able to understand anything about it.
Dam0nBaird Posted July 22 Author Posted July 22 (edited) I found a recent discussion about this mod conflict issue. Edited July 22 by Dam0nBaird
Dam0nBaird Posted July 22 Author Posted July 22 I don't quite understand what it means, but it sounds complicated.
Dam0nBaird Posted July 22 Author Posted July 22 (edited) I could be wrong, but here's what I understood. One of the latest updates, I think 1.3, broke many old mods (I don't know for which version of the game client), and the textures in these mods turned black. They created a utility that automatically repairs such mods. The problem is that this repair method uses the same resources as the experimental version of RabbitFX (specifically, its new material replacement feature, which I use to give a matte nude material to a new body in my mods). Therefore, the mods restored using the fix utility actually conflict with the experimental version of RabbitFX, not with the mods themselves. If I've misunderstood anything, please correct me. Therefore, you need to fix the restored conflicting mods manually in the ini file. I think if I quit my job, I'll go into detective work. I'll be one of those noir-inspired, horny alcoholics in a raincoat and fedora, solving mysteries in the big city for a couple of bucks.🤣 Edited July 22 by Dam0nBaird

Actually, RabbitFx’s website already provides working Python code, but since your experimental version of the MOD won’t be modified, you won’t be able to identify the problem.😭
xueyan80 Posted July 24 Posted July 24 Hi, I'm a user from China. In your mod, anything with an experimental title turns transparent, while the normal version doesn't.

It's most likely a conflict with other authors' mods that were restored using CN Mod Fix. This conflict is at the RabbitFX level, and there's nothing I can do about it.

The source of this a mod conflict. I fixed this by moving all my modes, except Dam0nBaird mods, to a temporary folder (outside the mods folder). Then i transferred back my mods one by one (hit F10 after each transfer). I found the mod responsible and deleted it. Everything works now 1

xueyan80 Posted Monday at 08:01 AM Posted Monday at 08:01 AM (edited) I'm having this problem when using the mod; whether it's the experimental version or the original, my body goes bad from this perspective. My rabbitFX is v44e4. Some mods do this, while others have no problem. Edited Monday at 08:06 AM by xueyan80
Chelovekas Posted Monday at 12:15 PM Posted Monday at 12:15 PM Still, I think the problem is with your experimental mods. I spent two hours today testing the latest mods from other modders on the most recent launcher versions, and in 90 % of cases, your experimental mods became transparent.
FGOmk11 Posted Monday at 02:46 PM Posted Monday at 02:46 PM I wonder whats the next female charcter to have a nude mod
Sangoku25 Posted Tuesday at 04:37 PM Posted Tuesday at 04:37 PM (edited) yes same error foundet I've already reported that the new RabbitFX causes these bugs. Edited Tuesday at 04:40 PM by Sangoku25
Dam0nBaird Posted Tuesday at 06:39 PM Author Posted Tuesday at 06:39 PM (edited) Spoiler So, Nefarith. No, something's wrong. Spoiler MiFu. Something's wrong again. Spoiler MiFu-Nefarith - that's what I needed. The developers сволочи killed my favorite character....I had to bring her back myself. Edited Tuesday at 06:40 PM by Dam0nBaird 1
Dam0nBaird Posted Tuesday at 06:49 PM Author Posted Tuesday at 06:49 PM For anyone having problems with the experimental versions, I'll say this: THESE ARE EXPERIMENTAL VERSIONS, and I didn't call them that just for the sake of sounding fancy. They use an EXPERIMENTAL method of replacing textures and materials for the EXPERIMENTAL version of the EFMI RabbitFX utility. While this feature is in the EXPERIMENTAL stage of development, I can't help anyone. The functionality is 50/50, with many conflicts and many bugs. Wait and use the regular version of the mod for now. 1
Dam0nBaird Posted Tuesday at 07:12 PM Author Posted Tuesday at 07:12 PM (edited) I'll be addressing four issues now. 1) The gap on Fluorita's hood - I fixed it in Blender, all that's left is to recompile the mod. 2) The black stripe on Perlika's shoulder in the experimental version - I fixed the texture, and all that's left is to upload the mod to the website. 3) Estella's distorted groin area - I haven't tested the model yet. 4) The broken LOD Endmin after the game update - a priority - I think I'll check it today. 5) Last Rite's strange body texture in the experimental version - it's complicated. She apparently has a different body lighting texture than other characters, which is uneven and, like the others, is hidden from viewing and editing. I think I'll have to borrow the face material...if I can...but that will take a while... 6) Regarding the latest experimental version of EFMI RabbitFX v44e4 - I haven't tested it yet and am currently using the previous version v43e4 - I'll check if it works. 7) I keep forgetting to mention that in addition to RabbitFX, my mods, and AI Females Images, I also use RemoveTransparencyFilter. I haven't tested how the mods work without it—I always forget it's there in the mods folder. 8 )After that, I'll work on Avywenna, and it probably won't be quick—from August 3rd, in addition to my day job, I'll be working night shifts, two days on, two days off, until September.
